Hello all,
I just wanted to know if there was an app just like DayNotez but for free... I don't really have any money to burn right now on an app I might not use a lot.
Thanks!
Bryan

What are the features of DayNotez that you are trying to find? There may not be one app that does everything...which features are important to you?
A nice free PIM is A5 http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=96846820030131075222&prodID=39145 or http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/a5.shtml

Wow.. now this looks like a very simple and useful app.. even can use skins and background images? People need to check out this app.. I'm going to download it and email it home so I can load it to my palm when I get home in the morning.. very nice.

While you're at it, check out what I think is better than Today: Wassup
http://tinyurl.com/5rxd
With Wassup you can choose 5 of 10 categories to display, even an appointment ticker, a customized timed list you create in memo, etc. I think it works more solidly than Today and has some innovative features. $5 fee.

Just my $.02......
DayNotez is money well spent. It's my second most used application (PIM is first). I have had outstanding support from the developer, too. It's not perfect, but it's the best journaling app I have found. Spring the $$ for it, you won't regret it!
In fact, it saved my @ss recently. Me, a colleague, and our boss were having a discussion that was a bit tense. Me and the other salesman disagreed about something, and his "evidence" was: "Remember that meeting back in June?..."
I said, "Yes, I do. Let me refer to my notes." It was hard for him to argue for what he 'remembered' versus what I had written down. Case Closed.

I think you can add notes to the built-in datebook...tap on the appointment, tap on details and "note." Plus, the built-in apps sync without problems! ;)
Again, the original poster didn't mention what features of DayNotes he was looking for.

I too kept getting fatal errors/exceptions or whatever they are called on my NR. I am now with Wassup. Cool.

The original poster was looking for freeware...otherwise, he'd have bought DayNotez!
PurpleMD & Experiment 626, thanks for flagging Today. That is a useful app. It works nicely in my N760C. I like the Palm skin.

I recommend you try Today. I've used it for almost a year on two different Clies with no problems. I did have an isolated crash with one update, but the developer fixed it immediately. I didn't upgrade to the latest version, because it added a couple of features I don't need and increased the file size considerably.
Wassup looks fine, but I just won't buy an app that won't give me a full demo. The demo of Wassup is to cripple to tell what all it can do.
After a couple days of playing around with Today 1.8, I had to abandon it due to conflict with backup apps (MSBackup & BackupBuddy VFS). I just couldn't restore it from MS.
Wassup seems to be a lot more stable than Today. I'm able to restore it from MS with out any problem. So, I don't mind paying $5.00 for the stability. XP skin is great.

I too had problems with Today - it took me a while to figure out but I finally dumped it for Wassup. Much more stable and has better skins.

now this is pretty spiffy. while the interface does seem to have some issues, overall it works just fine. i love the integration with the built-in datebook. that is the one feature that i wished daynotez had.
...and this is freeware to boot! :p

I used eDiary until I bought DayNotez. It was just fine for the price (free).
