Any developers working on a Guitar tuner for the NX80V similar to AeroTuner or PhonTuner?? The developers for these 2 apps have both told me the NX80V is not compatable.

I'd like to see one too. I was actualy considering trying to program something like that then I found phontuner and p. pitch. Neither works on the nx/nz series. You could also try guipar, guitar tuner, capo assist, chord db, guitar power, p. beat, and piano. These are all guitar and music related. I believe sony is going to switch to the standard palm sound apis with os 6 clies, so any palm os tuners should work with those. Cheers

Thanks Pdasrock. I have tried most of the apps you listed. They are all very useful. It's unfortunate Sony did not use the standard Sound API's for the NX80V. I am hoping a developer will be able to work around this and be able to create a program compatable with the NX80V.

Try PalmBoulevard for Guitar Tuner Lt. It's freeware and works on my NX 60

Thanks for the tip, but I'm looking for an app that will recognize a note from my guitar to tune it, not play a sound.

Glad to help. Yeah, people have been pretty riled up about all the crap we have to put up with from sony. If sony wasn't so restrictive we could have better recording apps, mp3 apps, camera apps, specialty apps(like a tuner), and a gps/radio/bluetooth compact flash slot etc.

Petition Sony to release the API for their Microphone (and everything else, for that matter). They have no use hanging on to it, other than to detract potential buyers from Sony.

Quite a few of the APIs in POS5 are undocumented from Sony. This thread at cliedeveloper.com is a petition for releasing the camera API info.

This thread details the sound APIs etc.

There is an engineer from Sony on that forum and some developers trying to hack something together, so it might be worth a look.
