View Full Version : My Palm OS game - soon to be released =)
Well I have not posted any info on this game yet, but this is a game that myself and Mike from www.handtechnics.com is about to release. Its 160x160 (hi-res will come once we sell a few copies and will be a free update to registered owners!) and for color devices only. Here are a couple screenshots. I hope some of you will show some <3 and buy the game ;-) It is called Tap Attack

Very hard competition for that genre of Palm game. Good luck :)

he's right, this game looks fun, but i can get something similar for free at other sources.
Okay, it was released. At least give it a try! I know its not a perfect game but hey....we are PROUD. (and its actually a lot of fun and very addictive).
Our next game is going to be a space shooter with a story theme behind it. hopefully both low res and hi res color. I will share screenshots as I get them.

BenT: Have a look at floor mapping / raytracing. You can make a whole lot of really cool games with this technology, and it's not very difficult either (and only a few games use it)
Very cool! Appreciate that. I will share it with mike who does most of the coding. If you have any links to any resounce I would love it!

Hope that helps. I'm working on a game using a full raytracing engine (the engine is similar to master thief 3d, but no where near as advanced... ie, only textured walls, floors and ceiling, and sprites..., but it's an entirely different kind of game, not FPS).

Nice! Will it be OS 5 only?
How far into it are you?

BenT-
Congrats on the new game.
Hey if you could do a space shooter that has the playability of the old Atari Star Raiders I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I keep an emulator around so I can still play it once in a while.
The 8-bit graphics were, of course, pretty bad, but the action of the enemy ships and the whole "save the galaxy" gameplay was positively addictive. (That and earning ranks at the end of the game) If you're not familiar with the game do a search for Star Raiders. There are tribute pages and emulators around.
There was a Palm semi-clone game put out a while ago, but the galactic map and systematic racing the enemy squadrons for control was missing. Also, the controls were so touchy it was a game of see how fast you can die.
My 2 cents:)
appreciate it! Actually we are working on a cool space shooter. It will be a space shooter / adventure with a storyline. BUT not a game that will make you have to think to much. More of an action shooter w/ a storyline ;-)
Still a couple months away but with this one, im gonna be posting screenshots from time to time and maybe even asking for advice on storyline!
