Greetings,
Yesterday, I recieved a used Sony Clie N710C that I purchased on Ebay. It cam with a 128 memery stick, charger, and usb hotsync. So far...so good. But now I want to tranfer mp3s to the Clie.
Everything I'm reading on the net seems to suggest that I need a file or files that are on the installation CD. However, I was not sold the installation CD. Where can I get it? Pleeease tell me that it is available somewhere. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Cheers.

Actually, he doesn't need MS-Import, he needs the audio player from the install CD. The one built-in to the 710 doesn't play MP3 (only Atrac3).
Try and contact the seller. The CD should have been included.
You should consider upgrading your unit to Palm OS4.1, which will essentially turn it into a 760. Sony no longer offers this service, but if you search around you can find the files to do it yourself. Better color, better speed and memory management, and a better audio player. Also, no need to use the troublesome USB Switcher app. There was another thread where someone asked about this and I posted a link to a site with the required info. Look for that thread - it shouldn't be too far down.

Saturnisking,
You really dont need the CD. You need a link to this site http://www.gradiusnet.com/gradius/clie/upgrade710cto760c.htm
The above site will walk you through the exact steps needed to upgrade your 710c to 760c, see the comparison below. Print out the instructions (the site also includes screen shots). I utilized this info back when I had a 710 which I made into a great 760c. It's a easy process.
N710C
- Palm OS 3.5 - 320x320 pixel 256 colour only
- MsGate 1.0
- Audio Player 1.0
- Fake USB connection
- Do not support Windows XP
N760C
- Palm OS 4.1 - 320x320 pixel 16bit colour (high colour)
- MsGate 2.1
- Audio Player 2.1
- Real USB connection
- Support Windows XP
- MS Import 1.1
