Impressive, if I wasn't so attached to my NR and it's VG I would strongly consider it. As it stands it's not really an upgrade for me but definitely a viable medium tier PDA.

check out the brand logo on the scale: "Let's Cooking!"
gotta love it.

Good find.

Judging by the last picture ("Male or female?") it seems that the screen still has the subtle shadowing found in SJ30s.

that's a problem on the t665 screen, too.  never really bothered me.

Plug the URL into http://www.systransoft.com for a decent translation (I think I now know where 'engrish' comes from.)

He doesn't like the buttons or up/down, no big deal though.

Try using http://babelfish.altavista.com

I believe the reviewer has some complaints about the buttons, the jog dial and the backbutton, but is nevertheless satisfied with his/her new purchase.

Which is good. :-)

Our Sony store in Chicago said they're going to have this model in less than 2 weeks, about Feb 20th. Can't wait to check it out. I hope it has louder volume on the alarms, which is my main complaint about the SJ30, since I use alarms and reminders frequently.

Mwave.com lists the SJ33 in their online catalog for $283.12, estimated arrival on 2/15/03

Where can I get a program that tells what sex my SJ30 is. I would like to know if my Clie is male or female.

What's the deal with the "cardboard" PDA? ;-)

according to the review:

"The application button is some small awakening, but there is no especially strange feeling and it can push."

i've always wanted an application button that is some small awakening, but i'm bummed there is no especially strange feeling.

I really like the looks of this unit. It's soo small... I'm just used to my NX. I would love to have a super-small PDA again.

- "Judging by the last picture ("Male or female?") it seems that the screen still has the subtle shadowing found in SJ30s." -

It looks like that effect was just caused by the intensity of whatever light source is beside the unit. If you look at the picture before that of the card game the lighting on the unit appears to be very even.

Seriously, does anyone know how to take a self-pic with the camera accessory? Do you have to take the damn flip cover off???

I'm just overreacting to the stupid flip cover lol.

I've just posted a review (in English) of the SJ33.

The screen on the review unit I have doesn't have these shadows.

What are the four buttons between the left silk screen buttons and the graffiti area?

They are on japanese Palm devices for the different alphabets they use.

Not available (or necessary) on English Palm units.

Galley_SimRacer:
Concerning the "cardboard box" Clie ... the reviewer had built that 'mock-up' based on the published size specifications prior to obtaining his real SJ-33. He mentions that the curved edges make the SJ-33 both more comfortable and smaller feeling in his hand than the box. (I imagine it's easier to install applications as well :) )

He wanted to compare the size of his new device to the Visor he had previously.
