After having my Sena case for about a month and a half I'm disappointed to see that the edges of the case are starting to fray. I've had only E&B cases before this, but none of them ever did this before. Anyone else have this happen?
I'm attaching a pic. Gonna look at Covertec now.

My Bellagio case just arrived. So far I like the case very much. The purchase was an absolute pleasure:
I ordered it online Sunday. I immediately received a confirmation email (this is not particularly impressive, as I assume it was sent automatically).
I immediately emailed Bellagio because I had ordered the wrong NX case by mistake. Within less than an hour, on a Sunday night, I received a live response that my order had been corrected and would be shipped out the following morning.
Case arrived Wednesday. Likve I said, I like the case a lot. I wish it was a little thinner, but being able to sync with the case on is a feature which none of the comprably priced cases had. The price was great and the service even better.

I'm also a bit concerned about the thin parts next to the cut-out for the CF card. These are essentially, the "hinges" of the cover, and I am noticing that the leather there seems much softer now and there are very fine cracks in it. Maybe I could put some leather conditioner on it or something.
Anyway, I LOVE the design, but we'll see just how long these last.

I placed my order on Saturday the 8th and today, the 14th, my new Bellagio case arrived. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, smells just like leather.. :D. It is a very sharp looking black case with the swivel clip. It was tight getting it on but after a couple minutes pulling and tugging, I got it securely strapped on.
I read some posts about the reset hole having to be modified to make it line up properly but mine seems to be exactly right. It appears that Bellagio heard our requests for modification and made the hole bigger. It's about 3/8 inch in diameter.
After all my manipulation to get my NX in the case, I couldn't turn it on. The green power light only flashed. Then I realized something that I read here about the HOLD switch and checked that. Sure enough, when I slid it back, my NX came back to life.
(Whew!)
It didn't seem to want to stay in the Sync cradle at first but after bending the back up a little so it didn't push the NX up off the cradle, the charging light came on and it is solid. I have had the wrist lanyard attached so I could easily pull it out of the stock Sony Clie case (CA-80) but now I think I will take it off so it doesn't get snagged on anything. BTW, the Sony case is a very good pouch for the NX. It's a little bulky but it gives the unit very good protection. Not much to look at though.
The new Bellagio case looks sharp. The sides are exposed but I know that I will just have to be careful. (Which I would normally be with anything that costs me $600.00). I love the way the belt clip attaches. It is smooth and releases easily but not likely to come off accidentally. I won't wear it all the time just because I don't need to but in those situations at work where I will want it with me, it looks good and is very practical.
On the whole, I am very pleased with this case and it was worth the money I paid for it. My NX is protected and looks great. I think the case will wear in nicely and last a long time. I hope that anyone who is considering purchasing this case will find this information useful. Thanks to ClieSource for all the great info I have gotten here too..

The one I had before I couldn't get the earphone/remote to work at all (it was off just enough that there was no way). This time, I still have to move it around a bit to make it work, but it does work. Their customer service was great and super speedy with the replacement.

I've never posted an image, but it is my understanding that there is a lag before the attachments show up (maybe to allow them to be approved.)

Yes, a moderator has to approve the pics. They should show up by tomorrow. They're pics of your Bellagio I presume?

I just got my Neoprene case from Proporta.com and I have to say that I'm _very_ impressed. It holds the Clie quite securely (too securely in fact, they sent a velcro thing that covers the whole back; I just cut part of it off so that I could actually remove the Clie from my case!), but is a bit too thick to hotsync in the cradle. Other than that I love it. I no longer need a wallet, because everything safely zipers in with the clie.
I actually got this case for free because I preordered a hard case, so if you're looking for a hardcase this seems like the best deal. I don't know if i wanna give this case up when my new one comes!!

Ok.. I guess I wasn't patient enough. I see them now. Thanks Moderator, whoever you are. You can see in the pictures what it is like closed and open, along with a shot of the back showing the reset hole. I don't know what the previous models had for a reset hole but I have read here that it didn't line up right. You can see here that it does. I have it sitting in my hot sync cradle as we speak, charging away with the case on it.
While I like thin cases, I think I am much happier knowing that it is well protected by this case.
Here is my baby, with a ZLauncher theme.. Gotta love it!!

I tried two of the Bellagio cases but both were defective where the headphones were unusable while in the case. Other than that I love the case! I have two of them and I am thinking about sending them both back. I emailed Bellagio a few days ago but no one has emailed me back.

Voyager,
does your headphones fit in the area of the "little black tab"? if so how did it fit all the way flush with the Clie? I went through two cases and both were not cut out enough. The second one was better but still not enough. Your opening looks wider than both of mine.

pcmommy, to be honest I haven't even tried playing music on my NX yet.. Still in the trying out software, loading info and organizing files stage. I did notice that the hole for the remote has a good 1/8 inch on either side of it. It looks like about a 1/16 inch space on the top and bottom of it too. I'm sure one of these days I'll get around to loading a couple mp3's but for now I'm just getting used to having my info on it.

Hi,
i just recieved my bellagio case which i like b/c it can hotsync in the cradle and it really feels like my nx70 is well protected...but I was also looking into buying another case that is thin and just needed to protect the nx70 from scratches and not necessarily impacts...it doesn't need to hotsync while in the case...basically is their a think leather skin that just wraps the clie?...how much thinner is the sena and covertec compared to the bellagio? is it pretty noticable or not?
thanks

Hey Rxmedicine,
I read a lot of posts here about the convertec cases being very thin and very nice. I also read that the Sena cases take a long time to arrive. I just purchased the Bellagio case too.. Its great. I can't see changing cases very often due to the fact that the Bellagio case fits to tight. I wouldn't want to have to keep taking it off and putting it on.. I just keep it in the Bellagio and store it in my briefcase. Works great. The Convertec case is noticeably thinner. Take good care of your NX.. :-)
I like this Bellagio case:)

My Bellagio case works just fine. It took about 1 week to break in the case so my headphone jack made a solid connection everytime. After that it was great. A slot or holder for a second stylus would come in handy!

I ordered an Innopocket Aluminum case from Stylus Central. It shipped today. Im kind of thinking I need two cases one for protection and one for home. I like the looks of the Innopocket hard case. I have the Bellagio but had problems with two of them with the MP3 player headphone jack not pluggin in right. Bellagio emailed me and said they got a new shipment of new redesigned NX cases and they would send me another one to try. I need to send these two back though.. Bellagio has excellent support. Maybe I will try them again, I noticed Voyagers pictures of his case and the MP3 tab hole liiks quite large, I wish mine was that way. Other than that I love the Bellagio case.

I have both the Covertec and the Sena. The Covertec is my favorite of the two - the leather is nicer, and the fit is trimmer. I have 2 memory sticks and 10 business cards (divided in 2 slots) - the Covertec is 1 1/8" thick; the Sena is 1 1/4".

Hello all, this is my first posting on Cliesource. I've been a reader since I got my NX70V last December, a very useful forum, excellent reviews and comments.
After seeing how expensive it is, I decided not to buy de I-Volution case from Vaja, and I've been looking for a decently-priced case for my NX. When I read the reviews and looked at the pictures of the Bellagio slipper, I think I've made up my mind :)
A few questions though: how long does it take to arrive (I live in Santiago, Chile btw, any experiences from South America users???)
is it true that it has an opening for the speaker in the back? (the 3D model in their site doesn't show this)
How come it's more likely to remove from the clip than the EB Case?
Thanks a lot to all

I have the Bellagio case and it does indeed have a speaker hole in the back as well as a hole for the reset. I'm still putting my case through it's paces and so far I think it's a great case.

Hoping the PERFECT case is out there somewhere. The size of the NX70 narrows down the possibilities.
Being female, I can keep it in my purse.... and working in an office makes needing a tough case not that important. I bought the aluminum case on eBay. Bought 2 actually, one was the wrong size .. it was for the NR series, so if anyone needs one .. it is brand new, in the box.
Anyway .. I bought a second one - the CORRECT ONE and I do like it.
I am looking for a second case though .. one that is combination case and wallet for when I use a smaller purse. I keep lots of cards and pictures and JUNK in my wallet and so far can't find a case that is right. I do like the cases that fold UP .. and I saw one that has a removable wallet (but not for the NX70 ..)
Suggestions anyone ?? Diane
PS .. Had it with me at my granddaughters birthday party yesterday. GREAT .. lots of pictures. Trouble was keeping it in the aluminum case . it is not that easy to remove the stylus over and over and over again each time I wanted to take a picture. Had to fumble with opening the case etc ..

Even though I have a number of cases, I have to say that today, I was VERY thankful I decided to make the Bellagio my regular case.
Least of which for the fact that you can use a quick-release belt clip and that you can hotsync while the case is on, but also that it is made of hard wearing leather and very well padded ... Fear of all fears, my Clie slipped out of my hand and felt onto a concrete floor !
The protective cover for the CF slot flew out ... the memory stick that was in had ejected, so I was guessing that it hit the concrete floor "head-on", so to speak ... Carefully inspecting the Clie itself and spending the last hour runnng EVERY app to make sure everything worked well, and yep, the Bellagio case has saved me the cost of a new NX70 ...
Bellagio, if you're reading this, thank you VERY much for designing such a great case ... The sheer flexibility of hotsyncing while still in the case, the easy accesibility to the reset hole as well as the speaker hole and the *very well* padded surrounding leather makes it a fantastic everyday case ..
I'm just going have to be extra careful the Clie doesn't slip out of my hands again !!! :)

It was a long wait, but worth it. One thing I have to agree with other reviewers about is that great smell of quality leather. I also agree that it's relatively pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm all about overkill anyway. I know my SJ30 should have been enough for me, but I wanted the NX. I ended up getting the Caterina Sapphire version and love the way my Gunmetal looks in the dark blue case. I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance.

I just an NX and I figured I wanted a metal case. So I ordered the proporta metal case. Its not ready yet, so htey sent the neoporene one and I am impressed with the neoprene one just as it is. It is soft and squishy and thick enough to survive a 4 foot drop to my floor. Had to do the acid test to make sure it would work.

After months of reading all the good stuff about the Bellagio case and its maker, I finally purchased one on Thursday. My Sena case, while I like it for the most part [especially the front padding], is really showing its workmanship. The frayed edges I took pictures of awhile back are now just ugly - it makes the case look cheap. Of all the cases I've had this is the only one to do this.
Besides, since I picked up the WiFi module I'd like a place to store it.

Anyone with a metal case and metal-working skills want to try somethng? It seems the main problem with the Innopocket case and metal cases in genereal are the one way hinges. If a hinge is in the middle of the break, the two pieces run into each other at 180 degrees like with the Innopocket.
I hope this will make sense, but for those of you who have seen two way hinges will know what I mean. Anyone want to try to redo the hinge so that it is a two part hinge so the top can go all the way around to the bottom of the unit. This would solve all the problems with these types of cases.
I love leather cases, but my Vaja, far from protecting my case, is actually responisble for breaking my screen due to the positioning of its latch, a metal case is the only solution in my opinion, but as I use mine in tablet all the time, I am stuck in a quandery, only metal cases provide enough protection, but they dont have the functionality I need. ARGH!
Anyone want to make a project of it?

I'm new here and thought i would bring this thread back up. I just finished reading the entire thing (20 pages) and am glad to say that i will be purchasing the Bellagio Slipper Case. I bought the inno metal case and i didn't like it. Being left handed, the case just didn't feel secure sitting in my right hand while open. It was slippery and it made me nervous. It does look kinda futuristic though! Also, since the case is metal, and it has a small strip of neoprene lining, i don't think it would be all that great at absorbing any shock if it were dropped. For some reason, i'm inclined to think that a leather case would be more forgiving.
Anyways, with the great sale on Compusa, and the probability that many more NX users will be jumping on board here soon, i'm sure this thread will come in quite handy for the newbies (like me) looking to protect their new investment.

A quick browse through this thread didn't really yeild what I was hoping to find.
Am I the only one looking for a belt mountable (or fanny pack) case that allows the Clie to go in horizontally rather than vertically?
The Clie is rather long and it would really make more sense to me to carry it horizontally with the connection side up.
That way when you sit down, it won't either stab your tummy or get crunched.
I'm currently using a convertable thin travel bag (can be belt mounted, carried with a strap vertically or horizontally), I got from a Rand McNelly store, works great but a little larger than I had hoped for but plenty of compartments, it can carry sync cables and even Sony's external battery pack.
Any other suggestions?

I sell all of these cases and I must tell you that Bellagio cases are among the best on the market with belt clips. Krusell are very good cases too, more utilitarian.
Covertec and Bellagio are outstanding cases, but Bellagio are better engineered for usage. Covertec are more stylish and will last longer.
Innopocket last the longest and are the best for protection.

Hey all-
Just got my Bellagio case yesterday. Snug fit and clearly well made. For those of you who have a Bellagio, when you first got it, did you notice that the clamshell didn't close all the way (due to the plastic covering over the buttons)? Am concerned that this might affect the "closeability" of my PDA over time (as I've read that some people notice that their NX doesn't snap shut as it did when first purchased). Thoughts?

Dear, you cannot use cradle with it. I just dont use cradle since I started use this case. THe other thing is that this doesnot have any function but wrapping your clie. And if you are using Wireless Lan card, this will not work. And if you want to carry your MS or credit card, this won't work either. But the thing I love about this is the simplicity of the function, which is 'Case'. And I think I'll stick to this.
You can order from the site, but they dont use english that well, but communicable. Including the International Postal Moneyorder, and EMS, I payed about $140 for this.
Hope this help you choosing your case.

I'll reply to my own post. I had some spare time today and decided I would get to the bottom of this. They DO make such an animal, it's called the PEGA-HS10 and sells for 24.99 on Sony Style's website (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=usebMjaXtHmbCAhRC0eROXmGJGL3h1zTm4M=?ProductID=%2eekKC0%2eN0KQAAAD1TMj2AjA_). But that's probably not competitive.
The reason I originally asked was because Sony's site contains an error indicating that this unit will NOT work with the NX60. But I called them and a rep said that it would work.
This expands my case choices tremendously because I'm looking for a way to sync without taking off the case. I still love the Bellagio, notwithstanding its size. But the Piel Frama looks beautiful and thinner and still has the cutout for the WL100, and using the travel sync I can still sync with the case on.
Hello, despite of my bad english (i'm french), i finally read this 21 pages about NX cases but i didn't find what i want: i'm interested in the bellagio book style case and i wanted to read opinions of owners.
So can someone tell me if it's bulky and how thick it is (in centimeter if possible). And if you could make a little review, it would be great!
Thanks and excuse me for my bad english!
Up... :)
Can someone had other pictures of this case?
Thanks!

A word of caution for the Bellagio case users.
I have been using the flip top Bellagio case for my NX70V for about 3 months now. I really like it especially how it can be left on for hotsyncing in the cradle.
Lately, however, I noticed a small scuff mark on the lower right of the CLIE screen, while in clamshell mode. I can not feel it with the stylus and I can not see it when the unit is turned on, only when the CLIE is off.
It looks like it may be caused by the clear plastic strap part of the Bellagio case that covers the buttons. This plastic strap on my case does not lie completely flat and it has some buckling in it. It looks like this contacts the screen with the case closed and may be causing my scruff mark.
I have since gone back to using my EB Slipper case.
Has anyone else seen this happen with a Bellagio case?

Which is clamshell mode? Is it with the screen open to a right-angle (like you have in your avatar) or when the screen is twisted around and closed downward onto the bottom part with the thumboard?
I was thinking of buying the Bellagio case today. Which part are you referring to as the clear plastic strap?
I am debating purchasing either the Bellagio leather case or the Innopocket metal case.
For those who use the Innopocket case, how easy is it to remove the NX60/70 from the case? Does taking the NX60/70 in and out of the case multiple times affect its ability to stick to the Neoprene lining?
I am mainly looking for a case to protect the Clie during transport, but intend to use it out of the case during most other times.

Yes, clamshell mode is like my avatar. The screen twisted around closed downward is typically called tablet mode.
The Bellagio flip case I have uses a leather pocket to hold the bottom part of the NX70 and a clear plastic strap, which actually goes across the buttons, to secure the upper half of the NX70. You can press the buttons by pressing on the clear strap over them.

I haven't noticed it, but then I keep my Clie in landscape mode. So it's never really facing the plastic holder.
Doesn't anybody make a simple, belt/pouch case? I've been using one I had for my Handpring, but aside from it really being too small, it's gotten to the place it really needs replaced. Nothing fancy. A pouch with a velcro flip over top. I still have one to fit a Palm III size, but can't find anything suitable for the NX70.

Vaja makes one called the Universal Pouch. It's pretty simple, nice leather...and probably at the usual high price point ($53-$69US)

I asked Vaja and the Universal Pouch does not fit the NX.
I got the Sony PEGA-CA80 which is a pouch case with a sporty look.
It is a little bulky, but my NX still looks pretty new after 5 months.
It also has a front pocket, where I carry an extra MS, my Princeton CF modem and my BT MS.

Yes, I thought of this.
I just never had any good luck with applying the screen protectors. I have tried about 3 different types. I do not like my screen to be visually degraded and even one tiny bubble would distract me. Even had one screen protector that actually caused the digitizer to have problems.
I have had PDAs for the past 3 years and this is the first one to get any significant screen blemishes.
Though if I get any more I may force myself to go back to using screen protectors. :(

Got my Bellagio flip top case yesterday. It was not as difficult to install as other made it out to be, but i did have to be careful with it. Ahh...the smell of new fresh leather. This thing looks to be pretty well made. It is not very big once its in there. I would have to say that the overall thickness probably doubled, but it doesn't really add size in the length or width direction. Plus, the fact that you can store credit cards/business cards, and extra memory sticks, this thing can practically replace your wallet all together.
The earphones plugged in perfectly, so it appears they fixed that minor defect. Since i plan to keep this in tablet mode full time, i also found that the little credit card sleeve does a good job at covering the screen completely and protecting it while fully closed up.
This is definitely replacing the Inno metal case i have. That thing was just not very user friendly for me. Plus, this leather case doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in meetings like the metal case did.
In all, aside from the 10 days it took to get to me, i'm very happy w/ this product!

I'll give my n00b review upon arrival.
I got a Bellagio flip case for my NX70 just 2 weeks ago, and I already wonder how I ever got by without it. I can leave the screen open (for quick access, without wearing out the swivel), and I have storage for memory sticks and WL100 card.

Does such a case exist which covers up the power/sync hole on the Clie? All of these cases seem to have open holes which, to me, defeats the object of having a case. I want a case which I can put on and stick the Clie in my bag and not worry about dirt getting in the sockets etc.
Is there such a case?
Thanks!!

I have had my Vaja I-Volution for NX for about 4 months now, and I must say it was worth every penny it cost. In my opinion, it combines the best of both types of cases-it's sturdy like a metal case and will actually protect your Clie from breakage; it's stylish like the slipper cases, made from unreal quality leather.
Bottom line: you spent $600 bucks on this thing-protect it the most stylish way possible!

Right now it's fine because I don't own a Wi-fi card...or any CF cards for that matter. But when I do I think I might look for a good Vaja case *drool*

It looks nice, but I don't see what advantages it has over the frontrunner--Bellagio. I do notice it seems to have no WiF cut-out, and doesn't look like it allows you to sync in the cradle. The leather looks real nice, though.

I just bought an NX60 from Best Buy. Since it was the floor/display model, the exterior casing has some moderate scratches (display, however, is in pristine condition) and before I take this thing out in public, I would like to get a case for it to protect it from further damage.
My previous (current backup) PDA was a Clie T615C. To transport it in my pants pocket I use the InnoPocket Metallic Blue case and absolutely love its protection. From the exterior of it, you can tell that it saved my 615's a** many times. If I want it to clip on my belt, I use my old Palm Vx belt holster (fits the T615 fine without any flip cover).
I read all 24 pages of this thread and for my needs, it looks like I want to get the Innopocket Hard Case for the NX series. However, it now appears that they have come out with a new model case with a CF/WLAN storage slot built into the case. While I do not have the card now, I plan on getting a WLAN card (as well as some CF memory) in the near future.
So my question to you dear readers is this: if I get the SX-0311 (with storage slot), how much does that affect the snugness of the Clie inside the case? Or is the SX-0310 a more snug fit?
Thanks for your help and advice.

I posted this elsewhere (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=650&highlight=nx70v+case) but, since this is a much bigger thread, thought I should ask here as well. I had an unfortunate "accident" with my NX70V. The good news is it still works fine despite the physical damage. I was thinking that a good workaround until I upgrade is a metal case that will "hold" the screen in place. I'd like to hear from any Innopocket (or similar) metal case users that can confirm the screen fits snugly in the case, and should keep the screen in its original position. I don't feel comfortable using it with the gap. TIA!
If so, I imagine I'll be selling my Bellagio case if anyone is interested. Let's say $20 + shipping.http://www.cliesource.com/gallery/data/500/6577clie01.jpg

I've been using my innopocket metal case for a few months now. i usually take it out of the case when i use my clie, but i've used it comfortably leaving my clie in the case.
if you get the case with the wifi storage(pocket), then you must take your clie out of the case to get your wifi card out, but it's nice to carry the clie and the wifi card in one hard case :)
although there's some room for you to pull your stylus out of the case without getting your clie out of the case, it can be tricky to get your stylus out.
the innopocket case opens to your right, and it doesn't flip all the way to the back. this is obviously less comfortable than the cases that "flip-up."
other than these little issues, i'm pretty happy with my innopocket metal case. scratch resistance surface does work (i have more scratches on my clie than on my clie) and it's not too bulky.

The Vaja I-Volution is (supposedly) custom made to fit your NX, so it therefore has no storage for anything but the Clie itself. I've had it for about 6 months and I will tell you that people who see it don't even realise it's a case! I've dropped it while attempting to slip it into my suit pocket (don't ask!), and the CASE didn't even scratch.
I've said it before and I'll say it again-this case provides the best mix of style and protection there is! So what if it costs $130?!?! You just paid 600+ for a damn PDA!!!

mindows - Does the screen fit snugly inside the case? or is only the bottom (keyboard) portion really secure? See my picture above. I'm wondering if it'll push and hold the screen back in it's proper place or if it'll just push itself up and out of the case (if that makes any sense). Thanks.

Makes perfect sense! The screen fits sooo snugly that you need to learn a little trick when you open it. You need to kinda slide it upwards so you don't put too much pressure on the leather on the outside. This is especially important if you have the WiFi card (which I do). If you have below average intelligence, it will take you about 3-4 tries to get it right.

1) Thinnest

3) Can be used in tablet mode to avoid having to flip the case back and forth, but it protects the screen from geting scratched
4) Can be synced and charged with the case ON

I was really looking forward to a Bellagio NX80V case after reading about their great customer service and case design, but had a horrible experience with them... Ordered a color case at the beginning of October. Two weeks to get the materials in; fine. In two weeks, sent an e-mail and was told that they would inform me when they shipped it out in a few weeks; that was fine, too. Also asked about embossing around the turn of the month while I was waiting, though I decided I didn't need it. By last week, however, I had been waiting for over a month and sent an e-mail inquiry that was never returned; this week I sent an e-mail telling them I would cancel my order and spread the word about their poor communication and customer service. To be fair, I did recieve an apologetic e-mail that promised to ship it overnight and that Bellagio accepted full responsibility. The very next day, however, I recieved an e-mail blaming customs, my inquiry about embossing, and stated that they would send it by 2 day air. I really wanted this case, but am fed up with the odious cusomter service, and plan to cancel my order and send it back. The wait and bad treatment just aren't worth the case and price I'm paying for it. =( I know this sounds severe, but I will post the e-mails to back it up if anyone's curious...

Just got the NX80 and have been reading all of the posts about cases. It seems that the Bellagio and the Covertec are for me, and I am strongly leaning towards the Bellagio.
A lot of people showed the Bellagio for the NX60/70 models that has a foldout for holding addtional credit cards, but it does not seem to be there for the NX80 model. Can someone confirm this? If it has this, I will probably go for the Bellagio. If not, probably the Covertec.
Just in case anyone has suggestions, here is what I am looking for:
- Replacement for wallet
- Holds up to 8 credit cards (if possible)
- Place to hold money
- Slot for MS
- Easy access for lefties
- Good protection for NX80
- No Lan card slot needed in near future
Any help would be appreciated.

"Issue: WiFi slot on case cover isn't deep enough.
Resoluton: The slot appears to be slightly deeper. This helps. Also, there is now a flap (which was on the NX70 case) which covers the WiFi and MS slots on the case cover. This flap does a good job of protecting the Clie and also allows the little bit of the WiFi card which is thick to fit better than the old case."

You say some people are spamming and wants a break. Claims that your customer service is second to none. These are what you claimed only.
But thats not what I encountered with your sales and services. I ordered my case with Bellagio on the 17Oct2003 and a few days later you conveniently charged my credit card. Fine. I waited. and waited. and waited. Sent an email enquiring when my case will arrive. 2 weeks passed by, no reply. Then I sent another email asking where is my case, this is after 1 month. Then Bellagio said on a very short reply, be patient , it will arrive. As of today, 3 Dec2003, I still have not received my case yet. AND I'm still paying my credit card company for a case which I don't have.
How patient do you want me to be? Until after Christmas or the New Year? I'm not spamming or trying to tarnish your image but to let people know what is "SERVICE SECOND TO NONE". To claim having this kind of service, your company better pull up your socks. By the way, my order number is 13708.
P.s I'm still trying to be patient.

Hi. I'm not defending Bellagio, just commenting. I purchased no less than 5 cases for a variety of Palm / Clie's in the past. They have always delivered to me within 5 days of ordering. Interesting that some have trouble.
FYI, I actually just sold the Bellagio case that I bought for my NX73 because I found another. I was just browsing through the eBay cases for this Clie and found one for $10. I figured that I would just try it on a whim since I already had the Bellagio and wouldn't really like the cheap one anyway. Wow was I wrong! The mystery $10 case turned out to be a Brando black case. It fits backwards from what normally is a flip case. It flips down which allows for a clear camera view. The case holds 2 MS recessed like the Bellagio. Protects with a high quality leather. No, It does not sync in the case, but I use a cable everywhere but home anyway. Really easy to get out of the case to sync in cradle. More important than anything, the leather is a very high quality *coach* leather, yet is very thin so it doesn't add the thickness that the Bellagio case does. I am really pleased!
My 2 bits worth!

Just got mine about 90 minutes ago and it's beautiful. All the holes are where they're supposed to be, everything lines up properly, the flap and recessed WiFi card slot are just like the old NX70 cases (after the leather breaks in a bit the WiFi card will fit perfectly; there's a slight bulge now - no worries), and it still syncs in the case. I couldn't be more pleased with it. I made a big issue about the flap in earlier threads and it's nice to know that some companies do listen.
Williepalm, I doubt the "spam" reference was directed at you. I made a comment about protox13 spamming the same message to every Bellagio-related thread. If you look at the totality of Cliesource comments about Bellagio's products and service, they are overwhelmingly on the positive side. I don't know of one company who has done everything right for 100% of their customers. I'm not an apologist for Bellagio, I just know that the repeated products and service I've received from them have been top notch and they have no reason to treat me any better than anyone else.
They dropped the ball on one of my emails, but I look for a pattern of problems before I look elsewhere. Look at YiShow. Alot of people - including me - were hot on that launcher until product and service went drastically downhill, and look where it is now. On the other hand, there are some really responsive companies out there - Pimlico Software, ZZTechs, a new (?) company called WhizInc I've had really good dealings with recently, and Bellagio among them - who have provided really good overall products and support.
Everyone's gonna fall through the cracks sometime. If Bellagio has something you like, you don't necessarily have to do the cut-nose-spite-face thing based on one order. Next time you'll probably have better luck.

I called Bellagio today to order mine. The toughest decision was what color to choose since they now have four of them. I decided on the Nubuck Brown. I was contemplating getting my company name and logo added, but did not want to wait 2-3 more weeks. I might get another one with it later.
The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. I will post some pictures of mine when I get it if people are interested in seeing this color.

I received my case for the NX80 from Bellagio today. It came in right when they said it would arrive. The design is well thought out and the detail looks fantastic. All of the holes seem to be in the right place. It is well worth the money in my opinion.
The case did indeed have the flip over cover to protect the handheld and to hold additional items.
I only had one complaint. I purchased the Bellagio in large part because I wanted a lot of spaces to hold credit cards etc. I thought the two holes in the flip cover (the leather part) were for credit cards, but I could only fit credit cards in the one. When I called Bellagio they informed me that both of the holes were for memory sticks.
Otherwise, Bellagio did their homework and designed a great case.

Got my PielFrama case today.
I like it!
But i guess you would have to, after spending this much
Anyone have both the Bellagio and PielFrama?
I would like a comparison review/picture.
Thanks

I just received my new Brando Case for my NX80 and I am VERY happy with it. There is a spot in it for 2 Memory Sticks and another slot which I believe a Wireless Lan card or CF Card will fit in. I will hopefully know for sure soon. The Leather is a very high quality and very soft.

Does anyone know if the Large version of this

will fit the NX80V? The dimensions suggest that it will, but it might be a close fit lengthwise.

Has any Bellagio user gotten one with a custom embossed logo?
It is mentioned on their website, but it is a little sparse on details, e.g., where on the case does the embossing go, what are the maximum allowable dimensions, what format is the artwork to be submitted in, etc.
I currently own a Bellagio and love it, and was considering getting a personalized case.
(I want to emboss a logo like the glyph thing over my sholder in my avatar picture)

Why does NOBODY make any cases for the NX80 since it came out.
Only the UX-50 and still the NX70 (who still owns one of those?)
Anybody know of any for the NX80 model??

Global Source has the NX73V /NX80V Leather Deluxe Case by PDAIR. We can ship it right away after placing an order from us.
We are working on getting stock of Bellagio, Covertec and PierlFrama as well!

The one thing I really miss about my Handspring Visor Prism was the Rhodiana case I had for it.
The case had two elastic straps on the back. You insert your hand through the straps and it is as if the Prism was glued to your hand.
I never worried about dropping my Prism.
This is why I don't have one of those aluminum Clie cases. The hinge section prevents one from having a full grip on the Clie if you are trying to use the jog dial.
I wish Bellagio cases had a strap option.

It looks like the Vaja's I-VOLUTION Case is the best by far.
Even for its $100 price tag, the black leather case is all sold-out!

Sorry to hear bout what the Krussel did to your PDA.
After much thought, I'm leaning now towards either a Covertec Case ($37.99) or a Vaja Cutomized Classic ($84.90).
Does anyone have any reservations about buying a Vaja (aside from its steep price)?

I have dropped my clie numerous tims. I have the innopocket case. It has saved it everytime. I dropped it froma low roof of about 6 ft straight on to a concrete slab. Everything came flying out.. stylus, compact flash, memory stick, stylus. But the screen was undamaged and I am grateful to say it works fine. If your a clutz like me get the all metal case. A co-worker of mine has one of the leather cases and she has a problem with battery drain if she doesn't flip the screen over.
Just wanted to share.

I have a new NX80V (about 2 weeks old) and a Krussel case (1.5 weeks old). I saw this post and checked my Clie. DAMN - It has the same marks. I am now not very happy. I baby my Clie and now this - - after less than 2 weeks ! I had an InnoPocket case for my NX70V (until it was stolen) and was dissapointed to find that they don't make it for the NX80V. I dropped my NX70V 3 times (kept it in my DayTimer and the zipper was not closed all the way) and the case had three dents but NO damage to the Clie.
I bought my Krussel through ebay and wonder what Krussel will say, since I didn't buy it from them. Not only do I have the "rub marks" on the bottom - - but also where the strap is over the A-S-D-F-G-H-J-K-L keys.
This has ruined my night.

I have always used Vaja cases, first for my Handspring Visor, then the Clie N710 and now for my NX60. I have had a few problems with the cases, mainly with the clip getting loose and Vaja have always replaced the case for me.
For NX60 I use their regular case 736 all in black. It works pretty well and I feel safe enough to leave the NX60 flipped with the screen on top all the time (tablet mode as somebody else notes). I haven't dropped the unit yet but it's clipped to my belt all the time and I like the security of the Ultra Clip
Only problem so far with the case is the MS slots get a bit loose and I have dropped a MS out of the case without realising. Luckily it was on my office floor and I found it a day or so later :-)

The Krusell case for it's part has done a good job protecting from external damage, as for the plastic strip across the keys I cut it off because it also restricted movement of the CF port, I always have a CF card inserted, I also cut a tiny hole in the top over the voice recorder mic which allows me to make recordings with the case folded closed (very sneaky I know but it's very effective)
I still have not heard back from the manufacturer. I like the look of the Vaja cases the leather looks softer but I cannot justify paying their prices and a metal case is too bulky.
KRUSELL WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ????????????

Hm, I just got my new toy (nx-73) 4 days ago and am searching for a nice case and was almost sure that I would buy a Krusell - looks nice on the website and has really nice price. But after looking at your pictures of your Krusell worn Clie and the other Krusell thread about the malfuntioning multi adapt system they use I changed my mind. Now I am leaning towards Piel Frama with the beltclip as bellagio cases cant be found for my clie in germany. Any userreports on the piel frama are welcome. I hope it does not damge my clies finish like the Krusell would.

Out of interest does anybody else besides Vaja make cases with the Ultraclip? I used to use a Vaja case with a regular clip only to have my Visor drop to a marble floor and crack the screen. The Ultraclip they have now is really solid - only way I can see dropping the Clie is if my belt breaks!

Not much to add here, just curious if anyone has anyone been "brave" enough to attempt using a protective coating such as KRYLON on their Clie's outer casing? I would think that adding a light coating on the outside of my NX would add some additional help with preventing unsightly scratches.

I felt like being loyal to the brand so I bought the sony case ... just liked the fact that is said the name "Clie" on it :(
I know its not fancy but I wanted to grab some Clie memorabilia while I still can .....
You can pick them up for $15 USD refurbished on the sony site (delivery to the USA only) ...... everyone else seems to want around $30 - $40 for them
....
By the way I have only had my Clie NX73 for a week and I could still return it but it is just too cool with the large display, excellent sounding MP3 player and fun camera .....
Until something comprable comes out I think I will stay with my Sony...
