If PalmOS in a Palm is like Windows in a PC, what program would be Zlauncher in a PC?

yes dannn is correct Zlauncher would be an alternative shell in windows.

litestep is the best example of this.

The default "launcher" on Windows is known as "Explorer" (_not_ to be confusted with "Internet Explorer" or "IE").

Windows is a very, very, very, very different animal than the PalmOS. The top level shell, Explorer, does vastly more than just launch applications. I would think that the closest analog, on Windows, to the Palm Launcher or ZLauncher would be the Start Menu and Taskbar functions that are part of Explorer.
