Hi all,
I have had my 35 for nearly a week now. I have put addresses in the thing, changed settings, the whole shibang. However, I havent figured out how to put music and documents on my 128 meg stick. How do I do it. I already installed that disc. It had that palm program to maintain the addresses, etc. So what should I do. I cant even figure out how to do a simple hot sync, or anything for that matter. I am getting really mad, and none of the manuals help any of the stuff. PLEASE HELP

There is a desktop application that you run (I forget the name...something like Data Export or Import). Once this is running, connect your PDA using the hotsync cable, and run the Data Export application (or Import!) on the PDA. It will establish a connection with the desktop. You can then use the desktop software to install or remove files, etc.

SlvrFalcon.....
1. Make sure you have installed the Palm Desktop application in your desktop computer.
2. Configure the Hotsynch utility for the type of connection you have (cradle/cable, or I/R.)
3. Configure Intelsynch to the proper settings for synchronization.
4. Make sure have established and use the proper Owner's name.
5. Use the Data Import utility to copy MP3 from your desktop to the sitck. WIth Data Import active, your desktop computer will "see'' the CLIE as an additional external drive. Then you do a simple drag and drop operation to transfer files. It's really slick!
6. To read documents on the stick with your TJ, the documanets must be either installed or you must use a document reader for that.
Finally, don't get too excited and start loading eveything you got, because in few days your backlight is going to die and you will have to send it to SONY for fixing.
I hope this is of help to you. Good luck

DataExport is a separate program, not part of the Palm Desktop. If it isn't available under the Start->Programs menu somewhere (same directory as Palm Desktop I believe), then you might need t install it from your CD.

SlverFalcon... Unfortunately my unit is at SONY's labs, and I can't remember how I had my stick set up. Try this however:
1.Connect the CLIE to your desktop as if you were to do a hotsynch.
2. Activate "Data Import/Export" utility
3. Use your desktop's Windows Explorer and find the CLIE as an additional drive
4. Create a folder tree PLAM/Programs/msaudio, by creating NEW FOLDERS
5. Move all your MP3s in this direcory.
Hope this solves your problem. Good luck.

Your music file must be MP3 format. If you have any prgram that rips music, it should give you the option to convert them to MP3.
