I was wondering what PalmOS version 4.1 build you had on your SJ30.  I returned my SJ30 from last month cuz the screen had some defects and the replacement I bought seems to have Palms OS 4.1.0.  I could have sworn my older one had PalmOS 4.1.2 or 4.1.1.  I'm using PDACheck to report the build.

You may be confusing this with hotsync or some other version. Mine reads as 4.10

So there's no such thing as PalmOS 4.1.1 or 4.1.2? I could have sworn that the latest release was Palm OS 4.1.2.

Well...if it makes you feel any better, FileZ on my SJ30 reports the *actual* OS as 4.10000

:D

Damn, I thought Palm released a minor OS updated that was 4.1.2 or something...am I just dreaming these freaking things?

EDIT: Actually I'm not dreaming these things, there is a Palm OS 4.1.2: http://www.palmsource.com/developers/news/

Now the question is, is there a Palm OS 4.1.1?

Mine SL10 has PalmOS version 4.1.0.3.0 (checked it with SuperUtility).

Mine shows as 4.1.0.3 via FPSUtil v4 and 4.10000 via Filez

4.1.2 has been released but I think the major change was replacing graffiti with Jot. In the past once a model is released the Palm OS is never changed as long as it's in production. I had an S-360 and it had 4.0 even though 4.1 was already out. Look at Handspring, they used 3.5 until they released the Treo.

This is not correct. Palm can and has placed updated OS versions for download and flashing and/or patching. Handspring did the same with patchable files for their non-flashable devices.
