610C Digitizer not working

I obtained an used 610C but the digitizer does not work. I have gone as far as a hard reset but still will not respond to any tapping on the display. What are my options?

Does it have a screen protector? Some times screen protectors impact the sensitivity of the digitizer. They have even been known to cause resets on some devices. Screen protectors are great, when installed corrected.
