I has already been released, or about to soon, but only to developpers like PalmOne, Sony, Zodiac... It is up to them to release the code with the necessary hardware!

Not only has it already been released, I know certain developers who have already begun to write code for it. My brother tests for Microsoft and tested XP (or rough versions of it) a long time before it was finally released.

A lot of people had made queries regarding when is the date of release for OS6 device. The answer is indefinite. The deadline for PalmSource to release the OS6 is about the end of december. Unless Sony is developing on the hardware for O6 device (which i believe they are doing now), we will not be seeing any OS6 device next jan or feb. Another question will be if Sony is giving up on OS5, which is still doing quite well now, although recently being threatened by ppc, linux, symbian etc

it will take 4-6 months after palmsource gives os 6 to mfrs before you see it on store shelves. (ppc 2004 and palm os6 will by released in may-july i think)

Maybe thats the case, since OS5 and PPC2003 are doing okay, now, the companies might not want to release any new OS so soon

OS6 looks like it'll be so much different than OS5 that I doubt any manufacturers will hold back. Most credible rumors suggest it'll fix most of the shortcomings of the Palm OS - multitasking, memory issues, connectivity, etc. - so I have to imagine that demand for OS6 devices is going to be pretty high. Not to mention that PalmSource is going to want to push it because in the long run, those issues will make or break the Palm OS platform altogether.
My guess is that by March we'll see the first truly OS6 device. There might be some released earlier, but my guess is that they won't take full advantage of what the new operating system can do. OS6 has been promised for a long time, so developers have had a long time to plan their OS6 devices.

Your brother works for an evil company and should feel ashamed of himself.

EVIL???
Give me a break...
Bill Gates and his wife Melinda donate more millions to charity than ANY couple in the WORLD, and it's NOT out of GUILT!
EVIL???
MicroSoft provides about 35,000 high-paying jobs in the state of Washington. I WANT them to succeed. I'm glad Apple and others are out there, because competition is better for the companies AND the consumer, but EVIL?
I've gone back to Palm OS after a year and a half with Pocket PC because it WORKS BETTER FOR ME, not because I 'hate' MS.
Go bury your head in your Mac.

Spring sounds about right for the release of OS 6 devices. If I had to guess, there's a possibility that there may be some devices in/around Feb, but May sounds more realistic.
As for M$ being evil? That's just silliness. The evidence is clear that they've engaged in some pretty unethical business practices, but EVIL is WAY harsh.
