is anyone using this combination? are you hotsyncing or using an ext reader? do you hot sync the first time then drag and drop with the reader or juts drag and drop from the get go. I'm having trouble getting MPs to play.
I had it once, but since I've tried the reader, they play 3 secs then stop. I've just done a hard reset to see if that will cure it.

I found that I had accidentally removed a Sony update. Now they play. But I can't remember how to get them from iTunes to the CF.
MS import doesn't see the CF, nor does iTunes.
I want to drag and drop to the CF in the reader, but I try to do that with a playlist, NG.
ideas?

I use a 512mb CF and an external card reader. Hotsyncing just takes too much time. The most straightforward way to load the card is to copy MP3s directly from the iTunes Music Folder (from the Finder) - bypassing the iTunes interface.

Doing so let's you drag and drop - as though you were copying files from your HD to any other removable media. I've read that iTunes will recogize the Clie if you choose to use Missing Sync, but I'm unsure if Missing Sync will recognize the CF. I haven't really looked into it.

cheers, james

the drag and drop is the only method even with MS. MS doesn't, as yet, see the CF.

sorry, answered my own question. MS=Missing Sync.

I'd drag-and-drop from the music menu on the hd and avoid itunes. I've loaded my mp3s using this system since July and have had very few problems.
