Ok, broke down and got the xmas sale clie sj22 pda for only $70 after rebate. another toy to play with while at the nite job (T3 for day job). heck it was too cheap too pass up I thought.
Questions:
#1) any reason I should not be able to beam from the sj22 to the t3 or vise versa? It does not appear to work either direction. Did/does this model clie have beam issues? Might be a patch on the sony site which leads to Q #2.
#2) can I hot sync the sj22 to my desktop pc that has the T3 palm software installed on it? if not what do I have to do...use an old pc I got? that one had my nx70v installed on it so it would seem both of them (the t3 & nx70v) run/ran palm OS 5.x so I don't know if this causes problems.
I really only want to sync to install games to the sj22 so if I had/could do the initial setup for the sj22 to use the palm desktop (for calendar, memos, appts, tasks) on my current pc (the one that the t3 uses) that would not matter to me, in fact that would be better since my T3 uses Outlook and I would like the ability to keep the interfaces seprate. I would though like to be able to beam calendar items/memos, tasks from one to the other if possible.
anyone know, once I get the beam issue resolved what happens when beaming such items from a OS 4.x to/back a 5.x OS?
last, just so we all know I'm awake this morning; I will also post this thread on the cliesource web site to cover both sides of the fence so if you c it there it was on purpose.
thanks for any info. thought I ran across a faq on the sony website about sync'g two different clies once but since this is a t3 & sj22 I'm not sure what is needed/will work.
if needed I could do a remove program of the palm OS on my old pc then do a instead of the new sj22 palm OS on that one though both pda's on my new xp system would be nicer.
