I thought I had a great deal in buying an IBM 1 GB microdrive today for £135 ($230), but i realize by the end of the day that i had lost more money than gained anything - the battery that has been so faithful on the NZ till now (15 cycles only, 0% degradation), suddenly wont charge anymore...
It says a ridiculous 40+ hours usage time, although the indicator always shows 0% charge, and all slots and services are inactive (including MS slot), so my NZ90 is nothing more than a fancy little photo frame now.
I just realized that when i put my spare battery into it, the CF seems to be constantly draining the battery power (i hear slight squeaking noises of the drive spinning), every 2 mins, even when the CLIE is switched off!!!! is that a common occurance, or is it just my drive thats gone nuts? i am scared to even plug in my new 1 GB CF into the clie anymore, in fear that it might ruin the spare battery also.
please help. any suggestions/hints at all are welcome. i'm desperate to get some answers. I'm using the Mini CF utilities.
