Three NX Cases Compared

This is a pretty lukewarm review of a bunch of Clie NX series cases, looks like they like the Bellagio the best. From the pictures, I must agree. I like the suede and it looks like the best constructed of the bunch. At the lowest price, how do you loose?

Well I have the Bellagio and love it. Contrary to the review, I like that you can cradle it with the case on. Though it is a little cumbersome to put into the cradle, but no big deal.

Also mine does not have the suede front flap, it is relatively new, so maybe the older version had suede.

Not bad reviews, but as a Sena case owner, I thought the Sena review was a bit off on three main points.

1. They describe the red and beige color and quality as being like a child's toy wallet. While that may have some validity, they offer about 6-8 color styles, and the "all black" model I purchased looks very solid and professional.

2. The "mirror" that is included serves two purposes. First, it's a mirror. I thought I'd never use it, but there have been two occasions that I needed a mirror, and I had one. Second, it serves as a "stiffiner" for the flip-over cover. I keep my NX70V in "tablet" mode all the time, so the extra stiffness of the cover affords greater protection. The nice thing is that if you don't like the mirror, just remove it.

3. Related to #2 above, despite what the article says, the slot into which the mirror slides is one of two credit card-sized slots that nicely accommodates anything of standard credit card size.

Like the author, I noticed that the fit was very "tight" but I like that because it feels secure. My only complaint is that now that I have had it for a few weeks, it seems to be stretching slightly, and doesn't grip as solidly. Time will tell.

All of these cases are similar yet each has its own distinction. The nice thing is that they all are decent quality, they look good, they are functional, and they aren't overly expensive.

I own a sena case and after using it for a while, I have come to like it. I found the review of the case quite harsh. The author seemed to have a problem with the color scheme of the case. Sena offer several color schemes. The look of the case is dictated by the color scheme. I have a blue and black case and the style and the quality look fair. At first the mirror feature seemed useless, but did come in handy at times. I agree with the previous poster that said the mirror offers a "stiffner" type of property to the case.

I do agree that it is not the best case for the NX but it is good for the money and does what it is supposed to. I have a problem with the paint rubbing off on my NX, I didn't hear that problem from anyone else.

I have the Sena case and I like it, but the fit in front is not great and I am thinking of changing.

One question I have -- if there is a magnetic closure, can that interfere with your credit cards that are stored in the case or next to the Clie in a purse?
