i noticed today that the SJ33 is available in Australia now from sony-style,

it is available in blue now and black is on pre order - both for A$699, (the T665 is now at $850 with a free case and 16MB MS for comparison) there is no mention of any other colours.

the spec can be found at www.sonystyle.com.au sj33 (http://www.sonystyle.com.au/products/index.cfm?catid=19501&prodid=PEGSJ33G&s=specifications)

on the features page is says it has remote comander - but it is not listed on the specs page under software.

interesting... the site says the SJ33 has a "translucent case"...
i wonder if that means the whole thing is see-through.
that'd be superswell.

that'd be superswell. Had a chance to have a good play on one last week in Tokyo. The case is translucent in the same way the Handspring Visor Neo model was - very dark plastic, but translucent none the less. The Blue one was beautiful - nice rounded edges, almost an "organic" feel in your hand. The tranlucency was like a dark tint on a car window, it looks solid, but if you peer up close, you can make out vague details internally.

I am waiting for the Japanese Kanzai <?> web sites to mod one with internal leds and get a real glow happening.

If it had virtual grafitti, it would have been just about perfect. The flip cover didn't get in the way either.

oh man, you have me drooling on my keyboard.
i'm really excited about it... i'd better not have to wait until march/april for this thing to hit stateside.

i'd love os5/virtual graffiti too, but i'm sure that'll happen with time.
