Just installed the Z Launcher - very nice - but: where are the tabs?

No - they do not appear with the hide/unhide command

Also, I can customize the up and down bars the way I want but it just doesn't make any difference: only the default icons appears.

I read the manual twice and did a search on this board - apparently I am the only one with this problem - the tabs should be there, the taskbars should accept customization. So, what am I doing wrong?

NR70V/U; Palm 4.1

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

ZL is a great launcher. Because it has so many customization oo\ptions, it can be a daunting task to set the preferences to your liking.

To activate the tabs on screen, go to AL Preferences. The top line reads Tab Mode. Choose from the drop down list where you want the tabs to appear - Top, Left, Bottom or Right.

tabs are fixed - thanks

regarding the bars, I am trying to put 4 or 5 icons in each, top bar is OK provided I don't load batery/memory; the bottom bar displays only 4 icons and nothing more, again, with time/battery/memory/exp card unchecked

You have to allow room for the category button on the right of the screen on the top bar. Start in the fourth box from the left and you should be good;)
