Hey,
One of the main reasons I got an NR is to take notes in lecture. I'm having trouble deciding on a good word processor. I want one that will intergrate well with my Pocketop IR keyboard. I'm trying a demo of documentstogo, which is pretty good, but doesn't allow me to bold/italic words when the IR keyboard is active. I haven't tried Quickoffice or Wordsmith but I hear they're ok. Does anyone have experience w/ all these word processors? Which one is the best and is the most stable?

Any info would be appreciated,
TIA

Or is it maybe a good idea to switch to the stowaway keyboard? Is it more responsive?

I tried them all and I have to say I prefer Wordsmith, they seem to be the most fully functional, best looking, and most easy to integrate with my PC. I didn't like DocstoGo (haven't tried the newest version) and really didn't like Quickword. It just felt like Wordsmith was the most intuitive.

One thing I wish Palm word programs could incorporate is autocorrecting features, like capitalizing first words of sentences, as well as capitalizing the letter "i". Maybe even have auto spell check correct. That would be sweet.

WordSmith!
Stowaway Keyboard!

Bar none my vote falls on WordSmith. I even have a registered version of DTG 5.0. I did a trial run with an IR keyboard and definately like the stowaway keyboard better. A lot of apps are configured around the stowaway ie WordSmith.

i completely agree with kennyd. wordsmith and the stowaway keyboard were made for each other:)

Wordsmith, by far, is the most powerful word processor, it just doesn't give you the benefit of an additional spreadsheet app. It might actually be more than what you need, but it is the best available.

cool, thanks for the input guys........I'm seriously considering returning the IR keyboard and getting a stowaway.... one concern, does the NR fit well onto the keyboard? The PDA itself is taller than most clies... i'm sure it does cuz this is an NR forum and u guys all give the thumbs up for the keyboard/wordsmith combo....... I think the compactness and innovative idea of the pocketop IR keyboard is great, but i'm looking for is functionality...

The keyboard fits just fine. I'm on my 3rd Stowaway (due to changing PDAs) and they are really great. And Wordsmith is far better than QuickWord - I have registered both.
