Win2k and No hotsynch

I have had my NRv for 8 mos, no problem synching with Win 98 and XP. Now we upgraded from 98 to 2000 and when I installed the Sony desktop, it will not hotsynch. It starts the synch process and within a nanosecond, it shuts down stating that the connection was terminated. The log indicated the following error:

"An application on the PC failed to respond to a confirmation query. This application may need to be restarted."

Get this error every time. I have Compaq N610C laptop, 1.8 GZ, high speed USB (I guess). Win 2k is service pack 2.

Anyone have a similar problem?

You did not mention in your post if you reinstalled the HotSync Manager after upgrading to W2K.  If not, Iwould try reinstalling the HotSync Manager.  This may be causing the problem.
