If that's for watching videos, i recomend you the CF, its cheaper, and will work for you.
And if its for mp3, the CF is still your choose.

If you have an NX-70 and are planning on watching MQV encoded video (using Image Converter) you would be much better off with the MS Pro, than with the CF. My NX-70 is very touchy running MQV off my 512 MB CF card, but has no problems running off the MS.
MPEG-1 encoded video tends to work better.
My new NX-80 is much more tolerant of running MQV off the CF card, but still freezes out the controls in Movie Player every now and then.

I purchased an Nx80v brand new off ebay for $380. Iwas hoping it would be more stable than the nx70. I heard it came with drivers for something.

If you could afford it, you might find the MS to be more convenient, plus it supports that VR-something that records TV to MS.
Still ... how about a portable DVD with a TV Tuner? The screen is better, the battery is better, and you don't have to buy cards nor convert anything before viewing.

Yeah ya can, just plug the cable into your vcr and then run the video out(s-video, rca, whatever) to your video card. I have not tried this, but there is no reason it shouldn't work.

CF is fine, and Sony has a program called Giga Pocket in most of it's VAIO computers that let's you convert any video into formats that will play on your MS.
It's awesome.

I should add that it's "any video" that you record using Giga Pocket (tv, video cam, etc).

If you plan to watch full movies you might want to go up to a 1 or 2 GB CF card...whole movies take up a lot of space. A few examples I did through Kimona II...
Friends Episode....130MB
Star Trek Episode....180MB
Terminator II....570MB
MS Pro is the way to go if you don't want headaches like freezing up, or not being able to jump to different area's of the movie, but they are still spendy!!
