i'm trying to find any information about the FM synth built into the NR/NX/NZ. so far all i've been able to find is that it's a yamaha YMF761-Q 16-note polyphonic (not *chord* as in the manual) FM synth.
seems that my NX could be turned into a more serious portable music arranger (like the roland pma-5). is there anyone working on something like this? i'd love to help out.
i've already seen/tried stuff like BeatPad, MiniMIDI and others. they're nice, but either they're only pattern based or still require external hardware. and neither of them offer any programming options for the FM synth.
