If you were willing to pay $700, how can you complain so much? Sure, you can look back in retrospect and know that if you waited a few extra months you could have saved a little money, but surely you're a bit more at fault for deciding it was worth $700 when you bought it than Sony is for allowing retailers to sell it cheaper.

Very true. Any electronics, especially stuff like Clies are no financial investment. If it's worth the price you bought it for, that's about all you can be happy with. Maybe 20 years from now the value will increase. :D

I hear Hyundai has very low resell values, so I assume the same goes for UX50?

I'm pretty happy with my Hyundai Sonata.  The bang-for-buck factor is high and I've had no problems with it in the 14 months I've had it.

Maybe I should get a UX50!

Everyone knows that the worst thing to do after buying an electronic item is to look at their prices (or the newest model) a short time later. The reason being that you always feel like you should have waited (I know, I bought an Xbox for $299 and now they're $179, and I won't tell you what I paid for the 17 inch Powerbook that now comes with a faster processor and larger hard drive for the same price). Like someone said, if it was worth what you paid to buy it when you did, then be happy. Otherwise you'll just have to start buying your tech items 2 and 3 generations behind.

As for the $499 price. I just bought a UX for $547 from PCNation, and then there will be the extra $50 rebate off of that. So you can get them even cheaper then 499 :)

My Hyundai Tiburon rocks! And I own a UX50. It rocks too. Buyer's remorse? Not for me. I got a great value from both investments.

Hyundai is finally getting a pretty quick car going in the WRC. A few teething problems as they try new technology that costs money to do, but they will continue to knock away at the big boys (palm?) :-)
