your files need to go into either the acidimage folder of the picturegear folder on your MS under the programs folder. I hope this makes sense.

AI can read images from any directory on the MS. I would imagine the reason it's not seeing yours is because the format that your pictures is in is not checked off in the preferences menu. Go to Menu-File Types and make sure your type is selected. If the pictures don't have the correct extension for that file type, it also may not see them. If this doesn't help, reply back with the type of pics you're trying to view, where they are stored, and an example of how they are named.

no, one is palm/programs/picturegear.

The other is palm/programs/acidimage

put your .jpg, .bmp's and such in the acidimage folder and the .pdb type files in the picturegear folder.

Actually, your images should be able to go pretty much anywhere on your card... I have some of mine in the \Palm\Programs\ folder, some in the ZLauncher folder inside that, but most of them in my \DCIM\ folder, directly on the root of my MS. You might open AcidImage, go to "File Types" in the "Options" menu and see if the image type you're trying to look it is checked. If it isn't checked, then AcidImage won't scan for it.

Whenever I start the latest version of AcidImage though, it scans my entire MS for new images, not just one or two folders.

Cheers.

okay, I apologize. AI will see non palm image files from any directory, but now picturegear files. Those HAVE to be in the picturegear folder on in the folder that is created by the camera on your clie if you have that kind of clie. I just tested this. Older versions of AI needed to have the .jpg, .bmp type files in an acidimage folder. Again, I apologize for my error.

Actually, I've beta tested AI from the very first beta, and from the start Jpgs and bitmaps could be stored anywhere. That was the main unique feature about AI when it first came out, and AFAIK, it still is unique to AI.
