NX70V Screen, dark patch??

I just got a NX70V in the UK,
I noticed that it has a slight dark patch top left of the screen (when used in keyboard mode)
Is this a 'normal' thing for these screens or do I have a dud?

Most had some faint shadows, my two NR's were more pronounced than the NX's are.

I was responsible for the last post, just completed my registration. ANyway, to expand a little, there does seem to be s dark area or shadow on the top left and a little on the top right,
can anyone confirm if they have the same??? I used the 'unfiled' icon view to show a white background, that's where it is most noticable. Does anyone know how the backlight works?? SHould it be even lighting or is it side/bottom lit???

Sounds like the shadows you have are basically normal at the one end. After awhile you won't notice them, as long as it's not severe.

I also got my in UK. My screen has no dark patch. In fact I was quite worrying when I ordered my NX knowing that any bad pixels or imperfection on the screen may not cover by the warranty.

I guess I am really lucky this time.

Sorry to hear about your screen. I know how it feels when you spend that much money on something that is imperfect.

Probably worth asking Sony whether it can be exchanged.

No. It's not normal. I got my gunmetal end of last year and had a dark patch (a drape maybe) at top left of the screen (in KB mode). Exchange a new one ASAP.

I got my changed.

No dark patches here..got mine from Gultronics in london...i'd say send it for a replacement...

back to Dix*ns it goes!!
It has also not switched on (with the hold switch off) a couple of times (no lights - no one home - soft reset to get going again)
looks like I got a lemon.
