View Full Version : Favorites on PDA
I'm looking for a program to synchronise my Favorites of my PC with my Clie. I'v got a rather complete set of Favo's on my PC and want it to take it with me....
A kind of docs to go that synchronises my IE favorites with my clie. That way i will always have my favorites with me...

That's what I'm looking for too. It should not be difficult to make a conduit to synchronize IE/Netscape favorites to a Palm database. I found several Palm apps that can store URL's but they all do not sync with the favorites on the desktop.

Ok, the time is here :D
The application exists now, it's called FavoGo.
Look here: http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=49975
Hope you guys like it. Remember it's a first version with basic functionality. The more people like it the more I'm motivated to develop future updates.

Favogo looks nice, but I think it's overpriced for what it does . . . just my $.02

YellowRose,
Just out of interest, what is a price you would pay for an app like FavoGo? What is over priced, >$5 or >$0?

LinkSync is a GREAT freeware app, but the PDA app interface is lacking if you have a lot of links and/or folders.
You can't navigate by folder, and you can only screen down by tapping onscreen.
If you just want to synchronize your favorites from desktop to desktop, this looks like the way. But I'm going to try the other program too, it looks like you can navigate by folder.
I think we have the best of both worlds- cheap and free, and a more deluxe program for a few bucks. I think $7 would be a more appropriate price, but I haven't tried it yet-

Unfortunately FavoGo display is all messed up on my TG50, perhaps it's not OS 5 tested. The fonts are all messed up, the lines are squeezed together so you only see about 1/4 of each line. It also froze my CLIE a couple of times.
I can't tell whether you can open and close folders, it looks like you might be able to. I have about 1000 bookmarks, so this feature is kinda important ;-)

Hi,
Try downloading the latest release of Favogo (1.2) from [PalmGear]http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodID=49975[/URL]
Many bugs are fixed and great improvements are made.

So how does this work, with netfront for example? Is it a cut and paste thing or do my PC favorites appear magically in netfront? Maybe I just don't get the point of this...

FavoGo´s general features work using T3.
v1.2 is much faster than the earlier versions.
What i miss is native HiRes+ support cause the screen doesn´t refresh sometimes if i use CodeDiver.
Syncronization is fine even setting the conduit to sync my Firefox bookmarks.
The new option to open an link in a browser is a good idea but FavoGo fails to find WebPro v3.5.

This is solved in Favogo version 1.3. (http://favogo.bsoft.nl)
