divx on clie

ok this might sound like an silly question but why can't there be a divx player for the palm os? is it a matter of hardware limitation or just a lack of devlopment?

It was a hardware limitation until recently when Palms started using ARM processors. Now it's a technical possibilty, but there hasn't really been a whole lot of time for a Divx player to be developed. Maybe someones working on it now though.

to my knowledge, divx uses a very efficient compression algorithm that will require real time processing to decompress and playback the video. i don't think the nr processor is fast enough to do that.
