Hey Sup ClieSource,

I am wondering if anyone knows the fastest way to transfer video from the CF to the MS while you are on the road with no computer availiable. I have dozens of movies on my MicroDrive but it drains too much power to watch them from the MicroDrive, so I wanted to copy them from the Cf to the MS in the least time. Any ideas anyone? Also how many hours of battery are people getting with the CF compared to the MicroDrive? Thanks alot in advance!

You're in hawaii, how far do you plan to drive? Anyway, without a computer, invest in a cigarette power adapter to save battery. OR download the CF hacks where you can play the movies directly on the CF.

Upcoming flight to Boston. Lot of waiting to change planes. No car cigarette lighters availiable. I have the CF hacks already installed. I need something like lightspeed for CF to MS transfer.

Just get one of these off Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3058493965&category=27968). If that link doesn't work, just search for NX70v battery or whatever your device is. They're sold on Ebay all the time.

It's just as geeky so dont' worry... :D

I just use the file manager in ZLauncher to copy it from my 512 MB CF card to my 128 MB Memorystick, and then delete it after I'm done watching it.

You could use McFile also.

That's what I have been doing since I got my MS but it sems like it was taking extra slow? Maybe my MicroDrive?

Use lightspeed to boost McFile's performance. set it to 150 x 2. it copies files faster. save up to 4 min. transfer time for 128MB content.

But a battery powered charger is still essential. battery drains quickly when working at 295MHz. my suggestion -> use a battery powered charger to keep your clie powered and play movies directly from CF. no need to transfer -> saves time

I had the same problem. I now Use a battery extender all of the time when I travel . The problem has been fixed but I spend more $ on batteries.

When do you plug the battery extender? When the NX battery is full or when it is low? Which way do you think save the more power? Can I use the rechargable betteries for extender?

I think I will invest in one of these battery extender's. How do they work with rechargable batteries. That seems like the most cost effiecient.

You could try to use light for power....

This is probably going to sound dumb but, is indoor light enough to power this unit or is the sun's light the only source of power. Like with some scientific calculator the indoor light is enough but the power requirements are much more for a NX70.

I use the sony extender w/rechargables frequently while traveling. I attach the extender to a fully charged pda to help maintain the full charge.

I don't have one of these, so I don't know. I thought I read that a 60bulb's light would be enough to recharge in a few hours. If you get one of these, let us know how well it works.
