Some stuff I was thinking about for the NX70V

I saw a review once of the NX70 that showed the internals ( I think)... but I can't find it now.

Battery upgrades
----------------------
The battery cover on the lower left of the unit is held in place by a small Philips screw. What is behind there? Would it be possible for one to design a battery replacement that would plug-in like the NZ90? Or is the battery connected in a poor way like a 9V battery with wires and crap hanging off it? If it just slides into a slot or something, that would be ideal.

Keyboard upgrades
------------------------
Looking at thekeyboard on the NX, it seems clear to me that it must be possible to remove it with little difficulty. Below my shift key on the left, there looks to be an opening, maybe a centimeter long in the crack between the keyboard inset and the case... like as if with a flathead screwdriver you could just pry that up.
How hard would it be for third-parties to make a keyboard replacement? Or even just a different coloured (or with a cool design) inset? I know some people do not like the NX keyboard layout with its round keys and all. And personally, I would be happier if the NX had coloured function keys. Make tab/shift/ctrl different like light-blue or orange or something. etc etc.

Dare I say it... (backlit keyboard) cough cough.
:-)

Cosmetic surround
-------------------------
Anyone gotten around to offering a fancy surround-strip for the top of the screen? You know, most of us have the "white" strip. What about like a woodgrain-look or brushed aluminum, or just plain black or something?

Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

You could build a removable battery slot, but you would have to build in a second battery or your memory would get erased on every battery change

The exception to that would be to apply power at the connector first.

Then you would be required to carry to batteries around. One for changing the battery and one to supply power while you do this. But you're right that's the only way that might actually work.
