Sony PCVA-HVP20 and MSV-A1, Archos AV320, and the RCA Lyra 2780. These are all portable video viewers. Obviously people are going to gravitate towards the HDD based ones as the price is similar to one that only uses flash memory(i.e. MSV-A1 from sony, although it does have a tv tuner and can record off the air waves). This is a whole new market segment. Key market points are not only design but 1) size(smaller is better), 2) memory capacity, 3) software and ease of use, 4) video quality(fps) and resolution(640x480 would be ideal) and most of all 5) BATTERY LIFE. The RCA lays the smack down with 15 hours of video. I don't know if it's true but that would sure be amazing as all the others offer 4 hours max with 3 hours more likely. Let the battle begin. We'll start to see more by early next year.
