Automating operations - how?

I have to sync and re-sync AvantGo a couple of times each day to eventually get the pages I want, so I was wondering if there's a timer app that would switch on the NX and sync or backup to a schedule?

Any such software exist?

There are two things that needs to be done to sync and keep up to date Avantgo.
1) Avantgo settings - you need to set how often new data is uploaded to the PDA. If you sync regularly and the site is updated regularly, then every hour or few hours.

2) Auto-hotsync. There are a few programs available (and all of them escape my mind at the moment!) that will trigger a hotsync to the PDA. Obviously, you need to have it on the cradle to do the hotsync properly!

This should update Avantgo data on a regular basis.

It was the second that I'm looking for. I'm sure it would also be useful for timed backing up.

The AvantGo problem isn't (I think) a problem with them but with their suppliers as the pages (newspapers!) usually appear a few hours later.
