The power button on my NX70V is beginning to show some wear - especially on the top edge. You can now see a black color showing through the silver finish. Has anyone out there had the same problem and succeeded in using fingernail polish or a silver marker or some other fix to solve it?

I hear if you do a search on nail polish you'll find the exact shade you need!!

Havn't tried it myself yet, but might soon as im getting the same prob on my nx70, its going a white colour at the corners :(

Probably to protect rather than touch up.

 haha I could just imagine a newbie pouring clear nail varnish all over their clie and saying

yeh that'll fix it good haha so funny

But seriously dont try this!

Mix the revell colours "91" (iron) and "99" (aluminium) that is the perfect colour for the Clie button but use more 99 than 91

Mine also has a hairline crack going from the bottom right corner of the button to the edge of the hinge...

Why turn your Clié on with the power button each time? Spread the load (and wear) by using the diary /address/memo/todo keys.

that would involve opening the PDA to access the keyboard portion - more trouble than it's worth...

I think of the screen as too vulnerable to leave in tablet mode so it's not too much trouble. Then again if you have an NX73 the buttons are below the screen ...

when i have my pda in tablet mode in my pocket it always faces my thigh and not the outside, i'm afriad of something jabbing into it, so i keep my skin s the protector (painfull protector though)

If you go with the nailpolish scheme, get a tiny brush with just a few bristles which give you more control. You can get them at the hobby store (for models) or art store. As for nailpolish remover if you screw up, don't try it. The chemicals can and will melt plastic.

Wow, if I didn't have this case I couldn't imagine doing that.

Sometimes what I do when say I'm eating breakfast I just press the cam button then press back, I'm sure you all will say that's too much trouble. Beats a faded power button in the future though.

True but it's on the side and the paint on the cam button looks a little different, maybe less able to be faded.
