i'm not sure about the UX50, but i have an NZ90 and it comes with SoundConverter 2 in the CD-ROM provided with my Clie. it's a windows application that allows you to import your own midi or wav files from your PC into SoundUtility on the Clie. i have many different midi songs (ringtones for my T610) which i transferred to my Clie.

The ux50 sound utility is not able to play midi files. Is there a third parties midi player / editor software

I think azian_advanced is saying that you use SoundConverter2 (on your PC) to convert a midi file that can then be transferred to your UX50 (or any other Clie with Sound Utility) and played that way. Yes, Sound Utility doesn't play native .mid files, but what would you use it for? None of the Palm apps use anything but .prc or .pdb files anyway....unless you're looking for something that would work like AudioPlayer, but for midi files instead of mp3s, that is, just to listen to midi music.

yes, I'd like to show the midi files that I create with my desktop. It would be great to have an editor for the ux50!
