Hello,

I posted this question in the "N Series" Forum, but I figured that I would post it here as wellbeing that I need to do this very soon. Please help us.

I am both new to this forum and to Sony CliE PDAs. My boss has sent me on a mission:

How can he transfer all of his databases (Games, Address Book, To Do List, Memos, Calender) from his NR70v-U (running Palm OS 5.1) to his old PEG-N760C (running Palm OS 4.1)?

There are Very important files, phone numbers, appointments, etc. that he needs to move over to his PEG-N760C (running Palm OS 4.1). What is the best way for him to go about doing this?

Any help would be great, We need to do this as soon as possible.

There are several options:

1. Hook up the new hotsync cradle and use the current software to "restore" the old data on the new PDA (note-this is dangerous and only used as a last resort)

2. There are backup programs (like BackupBuddy) that will back up all data and therefore can be transferred to the new PDA.

3. PocketMirror Pro by Chapura. It can sync with Outlook. That way, you can uninstall the old software on the computer and still have all the data in outlook that can be re-transferred to the new palm pilot.

4. In any event, I would suggest backing up all the files to a memory stick just in case something goes wrong. That way you'll have a copy of the data independent from all devices.
