The answer is ... maybe.

Check out a program like PowerRun. It lets you run some apps straight from a VFS (Virtual File System) device (SD, MMC, MS).

But the success will depends on the software you are trying to run. Sometimes, the app like to have its databases in local memory, so the best bet is to install the app locally on the device, run it (to create any databases required), then move the app to the MS, and try to run it again (using something like PowerRun).
