Remote "Define File was Changed" problem

My Clie Remote Control works, BUT every time i turn it on i get this message that says "Define file was changed" with an OK button. I press OK and then it works fine. It is just a pain in the ... . Anyone ever had this problem?

1) Tried killing all my devices
2) Tried deleting the program and re-syncing it

still have yet to fix the problem.

PS. did you know that in spell checker, Clie is listed as misspelled.

Took me a sec to figure it out.
This happens cause I bet you changed PDAs and just resynced.
Don't worry cause it stumped me too for a bit.

Solution: To get rid of it you need to delete some stuff.

Use a program like filez to access the files and delete them. First sort all the files according to size. There will be some files in there that define the remote function. The ones you need to delete should all be about 100-140k in size and they will be obvious because they will start with VCRxxxx or AMPxxxx or TVxxxxx or DVDxxxxx (sorry I don't remember the exact names because I deleted them all and it worked). There may be one for each device you had set up before (not sure but get rid of any that have those names in the beginning of the filename). When you delete them you may get an memory error message (I did each time I deleted one) but don't worry, just do a soft reset (poke the reset on the back) and continue to delete until they are all gone. Then try the remote program and I bet it works. Don't forget to resync again so the backup will delete the files for good and they won't be reinstalled ever again. Best of luck with it.

I read all the other posts about it and they were just stupid (Stuff like just hard reset and it will fix it......uh...NO!) So when I got it fixed I was sure others were having similar problems. Glad my info helped.
