Hi,

I upgraded from the T665 to the NX80V model recently. I have some GMovie format videos which I would like to view on the NX80. I have tried to download and use the old GMovie application but it doesn't allow for audio. Also, the video is completely garbled and doesn't work at all.

I then tried the Kinoma player but it has the same problem.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I can't seem to find a thread here that answers this.

Thanks!

The answer to this is that the only thing you can use for movie playin on a NX80 is the bundled movie player, nothing else, kinoma or antoher wont work.

Then, the solution to your problem is taking you original movies (I wish you still have them) and convert them with the Image Converter that came with your clie.

good luck

Fernando

Thanks! I had guessed that was the answer. I thought there was something out there which could still read my old gmovie files without having to "reinvent the wheel".

Does anyone have any other solutions? I am still hoping for a miracle.

You might check out the sony website where they posted updates for the nx-80. They recently posted an update to the video player that allows playback of certain video types. Not sure if your type is one of the ones listed, but its worth a shot. I'm not sure of the link, but you can search the forums for game controller updates since the updates are all on the same page. Hope it helps

Your T665 was a Palm OS 4 device while NX80v is a Palm OS5 device. The Gmovie that you ripped was basically using Audio and Video Coding good for Just T665( I am not Joking) . You would be having hard time even if you tried to run the movie on a Palm OS 4 device like N710 or so on because all of them use different audio encoding. Dont believe me try downloading Kinoma samples from sony website and running on your NX80 there will be video but alas no Audio since Sony uses an entirely different Sound Chip.

Hope this helps
