It would be greatly appreciated if members would make your posts in the correct forum!!!

Not all of the members here have unlimited time to check the site every hour to see what is new.  If you make your posts in the right forum it make it a lot easier to keep tabs on the 'important' threads and your specific area of interest.

Thanks!

Boomer, when you're right, you're right!
I second that motion and plea.

Vehemently.

And also be descriptive in the thread description. "Need help", for instance, just wastes my time, as does, "New Poll", or "What do you think?"

Actually, unregistered, this is in the right forum, as it's about Cliesource. This site has a policy against personal attacks, so refrain from these in the future.

Yes it does - it is about the site, and the whole site is about Clie's.

And what's this about not wanting to show your face, Unregistered??

It would also be nice if people could post their crap in only ONE forum, not 5 different ones. It especially angers me when someone is trying to sell something and posts everywhere BUT the classifieds section.

Unless you have a 160X160 monitor, don't complain as you are not forced to click on the ad. Simple solution.

Why don't you just leave and play with your nice PPC.

I'm not talking about ads from companies. Those I don't mind because I know that's how Cliesource generates money to run their site. I'm talking about ads like

"T665 for sale" and "Anyone want to buy 2 Sony memory sticks"

That is what I meant by "ad." The "for sale" threads which you have the option to NOT CLICK ON!

How bout they go in their proper section to begin with?? And not all over this site!

Or would that be too hard for some people?

You have the right to not click. How about you just not clic? Is that too hard for you?

____, Jake K is right. Posting the same thing in multiple forums will not be allowed unless there's a very special reason (can't think of any off the top of my head). Posting items for sale or trade anywhere but the Classifieds section will never be allowed; I don't care if it's one post or 5. If I see them, I'll delete them. That's why we have the Classifieds section.

Yes, even if it is against the rules, that is an empty argument. I am telling Jake that he has the right to not click the link and can choose not to. Even if those links are not allowed, it still gives Jake the option to click on them or not. I see no point in your post rldunn other than that "it is breaking the rules to post ads on non-classified sections" which has no support for Jake and his opinion on "ads in non-classified sections are annoying." You see no point in my post? It seems to be relevant to the topic at hand and directly support what Jake was saying. Sure, Jake could ignore those posts, but they're taking up space in the list of topics that could be taken up by a post that should be in that forum. And it truly is annoying; posting the same thing in multiple forums of the same site has been against forum protocol in every forum that I've ever been a part of. I think (I hope) that your point is that there's more important things to worry about, which is true, but it was definitely worth mentioning once.

Yep, it's easy enough to add him to the 'IGNORE' list.
