You're welcome. They are more like utilities really. One is called Mobile Connection Wizard which, supposedly, will help connecting UX50 with bluetooth enabled phones.

The other one is called CLIE Update Wizard which can automatically check for new updates on CLIE support web site and download them for you. :D

And, according to Sony, it will work with the following models also: PEG-NX60, PEG-NX70V, PEG-NX73V, PEG-NX80V, PEG-NZ90, PEG-TG50 and PEG-UX40.

Why did they release the update wizard if there are no updates? I got a ux50 and neither the PC nor the PDA had any updates available?

It's just my speculation but maybe for the future release updates? PalmOne just had a major T3 ROM update posted on their web site. Hopefully, Sony will follow with their own ROM update soon.

You can set the Update Wizard to automatically check for updates, but what a stupid frequency option!! 5 min to 1 hr, or random!? I would think twice a day would be more than enough, but the least you can choose is every hour. Crazy.

I agree, even Microsoft's Automatic Update only checks max once a day and we know how often Microsoft releases updates.

Man, I thought they might be releasing a portrait util, or perhaps even a "go wide" maker like codediver! :)

After installing the update wizard, when I launch it it says:
"Palm HotSync utilities could not be found. Please install the Palm Desktop utilities then run this application again."
Anyone else having this problem? Did you figure out how to fix it?

just kidding...I'm looking forward to getting a G5 after I retire and don't need Microsoft anymore.
