Im planning to buy an NX, but I just have some questions... Is the kinoma movie player compatible with this handheld? would movies play using Kinoma player? If not, does the NX have a movie player and is a movie converter softare included in the cd-roms? thanks!!!!

The NX does come with a Movie Player and a convertor dor the desktop on the CD that comes with it. Kinoma does work on the NX. I know the sound didn't used to work but I think they have fixed it now. But I haven't used Kinoma since IMO the built in Movie Player is much better. The images are very sharp, the framerates are great and the file sizes are acceptable.

It will do MPEG, Quicktime and regular AVI. It won't do Divx and some other codecs. You will need to get a program like Virtual Dub to convert those format to .MPEG to use them on the NX.

What movie converter comes with the NX70?? I can't find one on the software disk. Can you elaborate? (You are talking about being able to convert the movies shot with the Clie to something that you can watch on a PC, yes?)

No, cbulock is talking about putting movies from your computer to the nx. To do it the other way, run ms import, get the .mqv file that in in your memory stick which should be in
MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/ then once you have that on your computer change the extention to .MOV and open it in quicktime, other players will probably work but i know for sure that quicktime 5 does.
