Is there any tools to convert DivX files to .avi or MPEG2. I used Kinoma Producer 1.5 and can't convert .dvi or .divx files.

Look for an app called Virtual Dub. Its free and it should do what you want.

Or use TMPGEnc

You need 3ivx since Kinoma uses Quicktime to load avis and 3ivx is the only divx codec for qt

I don't suppose 3ivx supports DivX 5.02...

Correction, for the moment you are my new best friend. Kinoma appears to be able to convert my divx files of DS9, directly.

If I don't post again, you can assume it works.

i had a post with the subject "kinoma no sound". maybe that's the reason for my encodings. do you get a half a sec sound at the start of playback of your 3ivx video?

Hmmm, maybe my PM was wrong. If nobody is getting sound on any videos then there seems to be a serious problem. Oh well, for most of my videos sound really isn't important. :)

Try play that movie with Quicktime. If you can hear sound, you can convert movie vith video and sound by kinoma. If you can't hear any sound with Quicktime, you can't. Its not kinoma problem.
You must find some codecs (ac3,mp3 etc..) for quicktime.
I am using Quicktime 6.0 Pro and i have same problem. Yes video but not sound.

I am looking for some sound codecs for quicktime.
