Has anyone figured out if there is or isn't usable flash memory on the TJ35?

One trend is for manufacturers to put flash in early production runs, and unmodifiable mask or OTP ROMs in later production runs of the same model. So they won't say, because they don't even know without further researching of the device serial number and manufacture date.

I've tried JackFlash 3.0b10 on my TJ35. It reports that there's no Flash Memory available on my device.Disappointing....

Brayder informed me, that they will check, whether they can support the TJ-Series, too. Maybe by the end of the year.

Isn't JackFlash made kind of obsolete by today's PDA's? The whole point of jackflash was to create some extra memory and at the same time have a non-volatile storage area. But that was in the time that PDA's came with 2MB to 8MB of RAM and no memory card slots. I used Flashpro on my old Palm IIIxe and that made sense back then.
On today's PDA's such as the TJ35, the use of JackFlash seems pretty ridiculous to me. First of all, you have plenty of RAM available, plus you can add up to 1GB!!!! of extra non-volatile storage by means of a memory stick.
So what's your problem????

The problem is, that a lot of apps need to be stored in RAM to run properly. Ask the guys with NetFront on their Clie or the new D2T with spellchecking and so on. Most of the components need to stay in RAM an so some extra space is not too bad. Considering that some ROM is unused and so wasted.

Well, as I said, current PDA's have more than double the amount of RAM. A TJ35 has 23MB available!

I've got a TJ-25 with abt. 11 Meg available. D2G (only necessary prcs stay in RAM, the others are on the MS, spellchecking I cannot afford), Contacts4, ShadowPlan, DateBK5, SmartlistToGo, SolvoEd are all considerably big apps. My GPS-App needs abt. 3 Megs free RAM to run properly. I have to delete the temporary files of SolvoEd before starting the navigation-prog., because otherwise it may run out of memory. Some apps on the card like Shanghai or ZenTarot need abt. 2-3 Megs free while running.
Sure, some of the a.m. apps could be moved to card, but for reason of convenience I like them to be in RAM because I use them often.
So some extra space in Flash would be nice.

Today Brayder mailed me, that the TJ25/35 have definitively no flash and therefore, they cannot support this models.
