I finally got my Hauppauge WinTV PVR350 installed and am loving it!!

I just encoded a country music video:

The one problem I have Kinoma is it DAMN slow in the conversion process and at the same is a HUGE resource hog, making the computer useless IMHO for anything else until done.

I will look into it again, but if there are still conversion times of over 30 mins, then the converting will come slow as it will only be done at night when I am asleep.

I find Kinoma less versatile than MQV. Generaly Kinoma files are larger and cannot stretch fullscreen unless encoded so. Plus, it doen't play on PC. Reasons why I'm still using IC and movieplayer.

Too bad Kinoma can't make a player that plays MPEG4 instead of that proprietary Cinepack Mobile format. (1MB+/Min)

I agree about the file size. I use Kinoma because I don't know of any other video playback options for the SJ33. Are there?

I've been running Hauppauge WinTV stuff for years now, I think they're great. They stay on top of driver and app updates big time.

I want to try the extrnal USB model on my laptop, that would be cool.

As for the video, well, my SJ3 ain't up to it. But thanks for posting it anyway! :D

I have the external on my laptop, I wish I had a desktop to try the desktop version on, I dont really dig the laptop usb version. Why doesn't it have a antenna already in it?
