I have been having trouble with my Outlook email. I ended up deleting and restoring it as well as deleting the "PST" file. This fixed my email.

I, of course, lost all of my calender and contacts info. No sweat. Plugged in my trusty NX70v and synced away.

First time I inadvertently deleted all of the contacts within the Clie. God bless the MSback-up.

Next time, during the sync a prompt came up wanting me to approve the addition of 200 and some odd contacts to my Outlook contacts folder. I accepted. After the sync was complete, I checked the contacts on the Clie:OK. Checked the contacts in Outlook:no contacts!

I synced again. Same thing.

I tried adding a fake contact to the Clie. It once again asked for permission to add 1 contact to Outlook.

Afterword, no contacts.

Any Ideas?

Did you check the Intellisync settings? These should be to export(the arrow should point to Outlook). With this setting your data should be restored.
good luck

I worry about entrusting any really important information to a Palm-Microsoft conversion. One side will always corrupt the other in due course, and you will never get things back to rights.

I don't understand.
If you own a NX70 your device came with a CD on which was Intellisync to sync with your Outlook contacts. If you never synced before- okay then you would probably reveal some information to Microsofts Outlook- but if you always synced with Outlook there won't be any security reasons. How about: snycing with PalmDesktop- deleting your critical/ sensitive contacts on the Palm and syncing with Outlook. Afterwards you import from PalmDesktop back to Palm?!
This is also very well when you want to go for sure that all information is transferred. On the PalmDesktop there is always your correct information as it is on the Clié.- Besides you got a backup!!
A conversion will always truncate some information from Outlook to NX- but not vice versa. The NX offers less fields then Microsoft does.
To go realy for sure: Check the field settings and customize them properly to your needs.
I never encountered a problem since I had my system up and running. And be sure to check the Hotsync log.
again good luck
