Hi, I'm trying to run a divx file through IC, but need to uncompress the AC3 audio stream first. I used VirtualDub as recommended by others to strip out the AC3 audio stream and then converted it to uncompress PCM wav file. After I remux the wav with the video, they go out of sync. Any suggest to fix this or prevent it from happening?
Thanks.

You can try to change "Interleaving" in audio menu. Change "Delay audio track by" field. But you need to know how long does audio delay or start too early.
And try to check "frame rate" section in video...

is this a trial or error thing, or is there a method to determine the delay of audio.

Aah .. is thios a known problem? That the audio needs to be uncompressed?
I've been trying to convert a DivX with compressed audio with no luck, but pcm worked fine.

Seems there no easy fix. I went an alternative route. Even better approach. Check out my new post on the subject.

OK .. so compressed audio is a non-starter. Shame.
If you've not tried mplayer / mencoder, I'd recommend giving it a go. It's a one stop solution .. well, at least as far as getting it into Image Converter is concerned.
mencoder -dvd (chapter number) -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq:vbitrate=694 -oac pcm -o (output.avi)
Job done.

There are many one stop solution to creating the proper avi's to run thru IC. But many already have avis that are not compatible with IC.
