Creating/Editing Greyscale Icons for DateBk5

Is anyone else having a regular blast trying to create black and white icons using dblIcon+ for DateBk5?? I'm using a greyscale Clie. For the life of me I can't save any icon using only a white and a very dark color. The program seems to randomly choose which pixels will be converted to a greyscale in ANY color but the dark one and THEN saves it. This gets rather FRUSTRATING!

Might there be another program I should be using instead?

Try Icon Manager by Chris Antos. It is shareware ($5.95) but it is worth it.
