View Full Version : MQV File Size Limted to <128???

I've converted several clips to MQV from mpg-1 source and noticed that IC chops the MQV file into 2 to limit file size to &lt;128mb.&nbsp; Is there a way to allow IC output MQV files&nbsp;to be larger than 128???&nbsp; (I plan to put MQVs on CF, so file size &gt;128 is not a problem.)

I tried to convert a .mpg with IC but not on to a Memory Stick. I put it on my hard drive. It seemed to work but I set it to high quality and I think it is only converting 128mb worth of the movie. What's up. Kind of in the same boat. I'm just doing some tests to see what size movies will be and see the quality before I go buy a proper size MS and maybe adjust the compression stuff. How come it only compresses 128mb worth? Someone help us out please? It's really weird.

This is a problem with ImageConverter 1.0. It is corrected in version 1.1. The reason is, that at the time of the programming of version 1.0, MSPro did not exist yet (in the mind of the programmers), so files greater then 128MB were useless. In version 1.1, file sizes are not limited (in any case not as far as I have experienced). I use a version which I download from the Japanese Clié support site. As I am Dutch, I have to make do with the fact that everything in the User Interface is in jibberish. Since I know the program pretty well, it is not a problem. An English version seems to be available underground, but I haven't been able to get my hands on one. If anyone could provide me with one, Please. (I know there is one person who has a link, but it only works if his computer is turned on, which was not the case when I tried...).

Japanese version of IC1.1 is here... (Updates v1.0 to v1.1)&nbsp; I'm using this v1.1 with IC.exe(English v1.0).
