View Full Version : pdf reader for palm/clie
I was sure there was, at one time, a pdf reader (from Adobe?) for the Palm platform. I can't find it anywhere though, including Adobe's web site. What are people using to view pdf files on pdas?

adobe has all their readers in the same place... you simply go to the reader download, select your OS which in this case will be Palm OS, and download it. :)

Acrobat reader for Palm works pretty good except for one annoyance...the jog dial only moves four lines at a time. So I have to scroll 4 to 5 times to change each page.

I know the specs for the Adobe desktop component/conduit say Mac OS9 required, but before I download and try it does anyone know if it works - and in what fashion - with OS 8.6?
TIA,
Adrian
Do a google search for PDF2PDB. This program allows you to create PDB files on your desktop that you can sync directly to an MS using MSImport.

Docs2Go only converts the text of a pdf file and it skips all graphics. Do a search here on "pdf2html" and "ghostscript". I found that's it's the best for reading pdf files that have graphics.
Acrobat Reader for Palm can display graphics but is too slow, even on my NX. Every time I paged up or down, it took several seconds. Beside, it's only 160x160.

I believe they added high-res graphics to palm 6 months (or more) ago. i have had it for a while, but I do remember when they didn't... just no concept of time...
