Can someone shed some light on this subject for me? I am considering getting a bluetooth phone. Probably the T610 or T616, not sure what the difference tho. Getting a new phone means i lose the keyboard on my nokia communicator. I do a decent amount of sms messaging and using the number pad to enter sms on a phone is not gonna cut it. Now my ux50 has a sms app built in, i figure i can send sms messages, but can i connect to the bluetooth phone and "download" the messages and then respond to them? If I create a new sms message from my clie and send it using bluetooth, does the sms message look like it originated on my phone?

Why is it that there isnt a perfect phone out there? :) Give me a t616 that splits open like the nokia communicator and has a small keyboard in it. That would kick butt.

1) yes, you can connect to your phone, download your messages and then reply to them. unfortunately, the clie sms app only shows the phone number and not the sender's name like funSMS does.

2) yes, the sms will look like it originated from your phone.

check out funSMS, alhtough it's not free, i think it's much better than the clie sms app. if only funSMS could send MMS it would have been perfect :)

hope this helps :)

MMS is multimedia messaging. It allows you to send pictures and limited ring-tone-music over the SMS system. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to do it from the UX, it's just that no one has come up with the software yet. Sony should have included it in my opinion.
