Hi;
I have a problem with MS. Sometimes; after installing one or more app's to MS, a frozing problem occures. There's no problem with other app's on the MS. But when i want to browse the content of MS using uninstall hack or MS Gate, the screen frozens. I have to perform a soft reset. I can't solve the problem by deleting the last app'(s) i've installed. I have to format the MS.
Anybody knows why this happens? Is it concerned with that VFS(Actualy i don't exactly know what wfs is)? Any ideas?:confused:
VFS stands for Virtual File System, which a program built in Palm OS4+ to allow apps to be run from external memory card. See Tanker Bob's Palm OS Device Page (http://www.tankerbob.com/palm/) for more detail info.
If you have problem moving apps to MS, check the MS directory where the apps are supposed to go. They need to be in /Palm/Launcher directory. There are exception of course if you use utility apps like PowerRun, PiDirect, MSMount, ZLauncher, etc. If you are not familiar with those utility apps, don't worry about it.
MSGate has some limitations. I would try to use FileZ (freeware file manager).

Thanks for advise DanT. But there's no problem with the location of apps. They are in /palm/Launcher and they still works. The problem is freezing when i browse them by Msgate or uninstall hack. Thanks again:)

Are you dragging-and-dropping flies into the MS? I have trouble using apps that I have installed with this method. MSImport works better

Me too. First I can't even catch'em, much less dragging & dropping. Besides, there is no hole in MS to drop them. Just kiddin'.

No. I use the regular install tool of desktop software. And I choose the destination as Memory stick. I mean everything seems all right (untill i browse the contents).
