Hey guys, Kinoma just released a new version of Kinoma Producer. They also released a new version of the Kinoma player.

The Kinoma Producer 2 can support Mac and PC, the excerp from the Kinoma Web site on the new Producer:

"All new Kinoma Producer 2 supports DivX movies, stereo audio encoding, built-in presets for the latest Palm Powered handhelds, user defined custom presets, and more!"

The price is $29.99. Unfortunately, those who paid for the older version STILL has to pay $19.99 for ungrade...

What's really sad is when Kinoma redesigned their Web site and introduce the new Producer 2, they took away the free update for the old Producers, which include the presets for the PEG-SJ33. Now I need that because my hard drive died and I had to reinstall Producer with the un-updated version. Now I am FORCED to buy Producer 2 to watch movies on my SJ33 *waahhh!*
*sob*

Anyways, the Producer 2 looks very promising, with DivX support! I think it's worth buying, but I have to check if I get free future updates before I deside to do anything with my money.

one thing ive always disliked about kinoma was how SLOW it converted movies. However if it can convert it straight to from DIVX, im very curious now. No need for the extra steps using VirtualDUb or other 3rd party software to convert then RE-convert with IC. From a time-saving point of View IMO this looks promising especially if the quality is good.

I always used my cousins Kinoma producer acct so I didnt pay for it. I wonder if this is worth a looksie.

Noogle if you discount the fact that its not a cheaper or free UPGRADE from kinoma producer 1. Dont you think it might be worth a shot?

I was hoping that someone who read this message might have the very latest of the last downloadable demo version of Kinoma Producer that has the PEG-SJ33 profile and doesn't mind sharing with me. I think I can stick with the older version because it worked for me before.

I guess if you have $29.99 in hand or if you own the old version (like me) and have a spare $19.99, give Producer 2 a shot, especially if you want to watch DivX...

I hope someone out there can help me. I just need the demo version so I can update my registered version.

Yeah, I do. The newer (yet no longer available version) update demo version of Kinoma Producer with the PEG-SJ33 presets would be perferred, but I guess I could get away with manually adjust settings that will also work with the SJ33 on the older version of Producer, without the predefined, built-in preset.

If you can help in anyway, buzzinhornets, I would really appreciate it.
